Your post made me realize something... basically the only reason DSP has survived this long is that DSP literally just LARP'd as a successful on-demand internet khantent creator and independent businessman and the dents and previous legit fans literally bought into that and just kept giving him money... Like even when crying about tax and bullshit money stuff he always painted himself as successful and people literally like success stories and they bought into that and kept showering him with money.

I suppose it kind of mirrors what DSP would be like if he ended up as an actual manager or in control of people and he'd run a business that shutters overnight and 500 people get fired with payments still in arrears and lose their health insurance and shit. Just totally able to lie/deny there is any problem to begin with until its far too late. He really is like a manager at some shitty company that not only has a cult mentality but requires a cult mentality to survive.

Of course the moment an outsider (IRS, auditors or whatever) comes and sees the company's internal financials ("the bank leaks") they can see through the bullshit. It'd almost be sad if it weren't also just as funny that people support him under the pretense that he's "successful" yet literally get nothing out of supporting him. 24% of $100k income is $24k which is on top of 5 previous years of back tax payment plans, which would lend credence to the idea that DSP owes around $100k in back taxes even with what amount he has paid off.

One for his back-taxes which was a $750 payment, and the other was a $1,000 payment that he says his "Tax Guy" told him to do to get ahead on current year because he's such a stupid spending addict he literally needs to pay a guy to tell him "why don't you send the IRS some money before you spend it all". . .also he would sometimes skip that payment.

Another thing is that he's been obsessed with his 'momentum theory' as of late, where he tries to get someone to donate so that others will follow. It's a concept Twitch tried to capitalize on with Hype Trains but up until a few months ago it wasn't really something DSP emphasized all that often. Nowadays however, He keeps hammering that he needs someone to donate so that the ball starts rolling and all the other dents join in. You've also got his obsession with leaderboards, streaks and goals that reminds me of a piece of shit manager you would find at a callcenter, who keeps track of his employees' performance on a whiteboard in the middle of the office.

His momentum theory is pretty much a decade out of date. He is very much stuck in an old metagame, and most others are juicing much worse dark patterns of parasocialism by now to make bank.

Man I dont understand how people are always so aggressively wrong about taxes and finances with DSP.

DSP runs a business (legally, not really by any other definition). DSP the business brings in ~100k a year, DSP the homosexual is absolutely not claiming 100k salary or net profit on his tax form. I dont want to get into tax sperging, but the short of it is he can claim a bunch of business expenses that brings his taxable income down and take a bunch of deductions on top of that.

Im sure his actual tax burden is in the low thousands and he just panics over it because hes incapable of planning for the future.
