General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Yea and they also say shit like they're going to an idol meeting when they have to take a piss. Somehow I doubt Cover would be ok with them talking shit about their work schedule and being forced to do stuff they didn't really want to do while still technically employed/under contract.
Why not? Holos shit on their management and schedule all the time, especially Myth and Promise since they were jaded by one of the worst managers in VTubing's history

So they would outright call out management, but would be too scared to say anything negative about idol-culture?
There canned "disagreements with management' statement is the most vague thing fucking ever. It's so vague no one can determine what that actually means and why people are even speculating and arguing about it. If Gura came straight out and said" Cover is working the talents like Chinese sweatshop workers and their demands are insane", that would damage Cover beyond recognition. There are also for sure NDAs with non disparagement clauses so even if they wanted to be actually truthful they couldn't or their insanely litigious nip bosses would sue the fuck out of them.

It's on record with talent saying are they not forced to sing/dance, if they don't want to.

Yes, I'm sure management told them to say they quitting because of, management.

Complaining they say idol meeting instead of "i'm going to take a shit" Fuck off tourist.

So how does any of this lead to them not being able to say negative things about idol-culture? There's no NDA about being an idol or idol-culture. They were willing to state they had disagreements with management, but never once said anything negative about being an idol.

I think that, by their later actions and their last years in Holo, one could theorize about the reasons of the 5 ENs that left.

Sana - Full time VTubing wasn't her thing
Amelia - Doesn't want to go but she is consumed by depression and exhaustion
Fauna - Wants to pursue a solo Indie career while keeping her audience intact
Mumei - Physically incapable of streaming and working full time
Gura - Retirement, she has done every possible thing, wants to retreat and find peace

What do people here think of Kirsche? I just escaped the 4chan bombing so I’m not too familiar with the culture here. Is talk of political vtubers like her allowed?
weird autistic noises and her audio alerts prevent me from watching her, but her stuff seems pretty good outside that.

Just heard the video.
She sounds just destroyed. Poor Gura.

Something reallly fucked up is going on at HoloLive.
I'd expect more to follow before the year is over.
I don't think it's the apocalypse though I just think its going full on Idol JP. If you can't do that you won't be there.
If Mori or Marine leaves. Then I think the four horsemen are here.

shit talking your boss is a really bad idea when you're quitting your job, especially if you're hoping to sign with another agency. if she talked shit and called people out by name she would basically be forced to retire or go indie. iirc someone said earlier nyanners went indie and it killed her channel.

Coco - left because of harassment, and others being harassed. Cover's reponse to it.
Sana - health problems, mainly an artist anyway.
Amelia - couldn't make use of her skill set due to brand recognition, and probably not owning anything she made while employed by cover.
Fauna - managment
Mumei- health.
Gura - Probably didn't think she'd get his big, became the face of the company, and was over worked (speculation)

Going Indie can be done well if your audience follows you instead of the brand, and even better if you have the resources to make your own merch or organize your own concerts

Nimi is doing a fantastic job as an Indie even if she kinda threw management to the wolves during her last days as Fauna (no one knew what disagreements meant back then)

Has there ever been a time when a company goes public and it hasn't had disastrous effects on either their workers or their consumers?

I can't think of any.
In a niche media market, I can't think of one either. They may build value or be sold for huge stacks later, but the product/service always goes to shit.

Technically no one knows what Gura is going to do after graduating, but the safest bet is that she will resume her past persona Senzawa (considering she even cryptically tweeted from that account a few days ago) or she will follow in the recent graduates of Amelia and Fauna and create a new IP and be indie... she could take a prolong break before returning as well, which would not be shocking either.

JP is a wild ride, we like to be a bit gloomy and doomy about EN graduations but those people over there have had everything.

Graduations, termination, NDA leaks, Rushia, and the termination that was so bad that instated a Hololive-Holostar segregation policy (Gamma)

Well Nyanners was a nigger on the downward spiral.
She alienated her original audience, and then she started doing shit with her husband or boyfriend and I think that killed whatever was left.

She was a guest on a Kizuna AI concert, back when Kizuana was queen, so I wouldn't say it killed her. She took a hit for sure, but she's still doing just fine.
