General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

This is fucking terrible news. Because now the chumbuds will have to go elsewhere
if the last 5 years are any indication you won't have to worry about it much, Gura has a fuck ton of her viewership that only really watch her, some holomem just don't overlap much with others in the company (I haven't seen data on it for a while but Korone used to be a big case of that as well)

For a big chunk of chumbuds Gura leaving will just mean they don't watch holo because they were only watching her.
What do people here think of Kirsche? I just escaped the 4chan bombing so I’m not too familiar with the culture here. Is talk of political vtubers like her allowed?
She's generally liked here (don't watch her myself but the talk about her generally seems positive around here), talk of political chuubas is fine but if you start going on personal political rants for very long you'll probably just get called a faggot and buried in moai stickers (political sperg labels).

The fact that she has 4.55 million subs, and assuming a majority are EN fans instead of JP, this is the most blatant indicator. If she can have 4.55 million subs, but most ENs can barely crack 1 million, if even that, illustrates that there are Gura only viewers. I do wonder what they will do though.

So we've got Gura, Adora Fortuna and I swear at least one other talent who graduated in the last week, that I can't remember. I was kinda thinking HoloEN5 might be prepped but the Gura thing has me thinking it might a new gen of a different corpo (Phase Invaders maybe, but the invader shtick usually allows them the open discussion of pl, which I doubt would be sanctioned for Gura). Probably all just coincidences but it's interesting trying to guess where all these thing will land.

same as always for me, which is that I'll believe the black company rrats when actual signs of it emerge.

Nijisanji we hear from past members about how bad it was
Holo's ex members don't seem to have a negative thing to say about the place (not even Rushia's menhera ass)

Till there's something to actually look at it just seems like the "differences in direction" are of the more boring and mundane kind rather than anything that would warrant "black company" talk.
I think the closest anything has gotten was Landos semi-seething comments on and off. Randon made a joke during his Danganronpa stream after the game had a Dragon Ball joke where he said he wished he could break NDA or something. Even that could be about Holo or other shit though realistically. I don't really know what I would expect from him anyway because even if he had issues with Cover somewhere, he was also on record (as Vesper at least) claiming that his suspension was entirely his own fault for losing his temper.

Beyond those I can't think of anything, and I still find "differences with management" a retarded line to all in on for problems because it says fuck all. My friend lost his job due to "differences with management" after he threw the pizza dough he was tossing at his manager because they were being an asshole. So basically that's how I've been feeling about it all as well.
Gura's had issues with music and doing lives or whatever for years, then went mia. Chloe and Mumei have literal health issues that are relevant to performing. Shion's got bad mental and also has been mia on and off. The rest I just assumed wanted to do other shit or wanted to drop the perms issue.

Generally fine, gets tiring if you want something other than politics sometimes. Expect cursed shit all over the place. Has a thread here now you could scan around a little.

I'm in general pretty anti-doomer and look at things optimistically.

But I gotta say Phase connect fans have me beat by a mile when they talk about vtuber graduations like this thinking there's any way in hell Gura would go to phase connect of all places. I can't even begin to reach the levels of optimism posting that it takes to even entertain that idea even if it's just long enough to say "probably not"

I would believe Gura going to Vshojo before I'd ever think she'd go to Phase.

I think I saw this coming from a mile away but I still think it's going to sting quite a bit.

They sort of promoted the shark as being one of their bonafide mascots for the longest time, and she was one of the biggest English vtubers out there.

I really can't see Ina lasting much longer either to be honest and the same can be said about what little is left of the initial Council.

If you are into politics, she is a blast, otherwise she is a boring vtuber with an grating voice and an even more grating laugh.
That and that shes FAT.

Look up Senzawa's bluesky account, this is definitely something she've wanted to do for a long time

I'm surprised Cover is letting her leave. I think ultimately, Cover doesn't really care about EN. the JP talents make most of the money, and the shareholders don't really care about anything except dividends. Also, yeah, I can see Ina leaving next. F

I wonder wich of these trannies kept deleting my posts shit talking Clara.

I don't always watch her because constant politics is annoying, especially since I'm not american, but it's undeniable she's done excellent work with all the DEI/BRIDGE shit. She's still unfortunately american so she's still brainwashed into thinking Diversity is a good, or at least, neutral thing.

what am I looking at here, it just looks like it's mirroring her twitter account and has been active since 2018
Cover doesn't really care about EN.
So true /vt/ sister, Cover opened offices and used their expansion into north american markets as a selling point to investors and started putting on concerts there with EN because "they don't really care about EN"
