My parents would show up on my doorstep, unannounced, with a locksmith ready if I didn't see them for 6 years.

My parents have given me everything I needed in life, and they're at the age that it's my return to take care of them with doctors appointments and everything else as they're my unpaid babysitter for my kids.

Phil just doesn't care, they're not going to show up and nitpick his life, disrupt his streaming and alcohol intake. Them dying will be a whole ordeal, not of the situation, the cost to him to fly out and bury them

In one stretch of what was otherwise a deadly boring prestream, he said:
1) He hasn't seen his parents since 2019...but of course it's their fault because these elderly people were supposed to be the ones flying to see HIM, but they aren't well enough to fly anymore.

2) So why is Phil not going to see his beloved parents? You see, he won't go to Connecticut because there's "nothing to do there". Somehow great family man Burnell doesn't understand that the "thing to do" would be to see his parents. No, they have to come to him because there's so much tourist stuff to do in Seattle (the same place Phil described as a war zone he's afraid to visit). Make it make sense.

3) Now that he's older, he realizes how important this stuff is and he "matured up" and stopped trolling. "There are people near and dear to me that I might not be to see or do things with much longer." So he realizes this but won't get on a plane.

4) Then he questioned trolls' level of self-awareness, maturity, and morals for not understanding how important family is...the family he never sees and refuses to bother seeing.

Phil can't just say that he hates Connecticut and the nigger area his parents live in. So he makes up nonsense that everyone knows doesn't even apply to him since he admits himself he never goes anywhere or does anything, and the lie only sounds worse than the original point.

You all don't seem to get it dood. All CT has is a zoo and Italian food. That is not nearly enough incentive to visit your perpetually dying parents. They should visit him since they can do things for him while he plays on his phone and also they have a zoo they could theoretically visit to give Kat a weigh in. The math works out, ya get it?

Phil also sells himself down a river with not knowing what is normal behavior for normal people. He doesn't have to go back to his neighborhood in CT to meet his parents. Plenty of families in his family's socioeconomic range meet up with their parents at resorts and vacation spots.

It would be incredibly normal behavior to meet his parents in Vegas, or if they are not able to fly, he can fly out and meet them for a week at the closest Mohican Sun or whatever the fuck the Burnell clan would enjoy. Go to NY and go see a Broadway show with your mom or something.

But Phil is an alien and is incapable of understanding the normal goings-on for real life flesh and blood humans.

Alright, at home, so have more flexibility now. I've said many times before that I see a lot of myself in Phil. If I was a decade older and got into youtube when he did, I could have easily have fallen into the bottomless trap he's found himself in.

The whole parents thing he said today is obvious. He has a chip on his shoulder against them (whether it be due to the helicoptering or wolverine doll, I don't know). He's also addicted to electronics like me. I used to have the same philosophy about visiting my parents, it was boring and there was nothing to do. Phil's a sociopath, I can tell you from personal experience.

Although, over the last decade, I make myself go visit my family a few times a year, luckily they just live 2 hours from me. They're free to come visit anytime, but they don't.

Phil's a learning experience for everyone, since I became a detractor in 2023, I've learned to stop blaming games for my problem and analyze what I'm doing wrong. I remember playing shadow of the erdtree and instead of being like "BUGGED ROLL MECHANICS!" I was like "I hit the roll button at a bad point in my attack animation. When boss does X, I need to not be doing an extra attack."

There are times when Phil seems vaguely aware that certain behavior makes him look bad and then there are instances like these where he's completely oblivious to the fact that he comes off as a piece of shit.

I'm calling it now. Guaranteed when his parents die he's gonna complain at the fact of missing work and going to a funeral and when he gets back to  work expects to be financially rewarded from all the hassle with travelling. money will dry his tears and any whale that chucks cash at man bitching about a parents death, should personally eat a bullet while dsp is set on fire. Or you know what, I'd even put money on dsp not showing up for either parent funeral and possibly not going back to Connecticut until it's time to collect what he's owed, either way it all boils down to a massive bitch fest of a pre stream and having money thrown at.him in the process.

Adding onto the "Phil is shitty to his parents" train, him not seeing his parents since 2019 also means that Khet hasn't seen them since 2019/vice versa. For someone who likes to constantly cry about how important his family is/how he has to protect his family, he really throws his parents under the bus. You'd think for all the praise he heaps onto Khet for changing his life, he'd want to share that person with the rest of his family. They've been married for, what, six years, and in all that time, they've seen Khet once for a grand total of a week. And that trip only happened so Phil could beg his parents for money.

Considering that Phil has admitted that his parents still send him a considerable amount of money on his birthday, that means less than 2 weeks ago Dave and Linda managed to get off their death beds long enough to paypal their manchild son their yearly birthday tithe. And even after that, Phil doesn't have the decency to go out and visit them.

At this point, we need a word stronger than narcissist to describe this POS.

Imagine claiming your parents are dying or are in a bad health condition and instead of going to visit them, support them and maybe help them with doc appointments or something. My guess is Phil is hung up about Melissa and being stuck in that house forever. To be fair, I can see how the Melissa situation was hard for Phil. Melissa is this stupid druggie coalburner and Phil was always Mommy's good boy and soon-to-be valedictorian. How dare she steal Phil's attention?

I think it's fair to question if Linda especially is fucked in the head herself with how bad Phil turned out. It doesn't seem like they taught him anything. He's always been a horrible narcissistic manbaby.
