I was having a conversation with a coworker about the allegations against Neil Gaiman.

So there I was, talking to my coworker about these allegations and how sickening they are, and how gross it was to read the detailed article, especially considering how much of a fan I used to be of his writing. And she deadass goes "Oh, that's just like how it was for me to find out that JK Rowling is such a gross person!"

Oh sure, by all means, let's compare violent anal rape and forced piss-licking in front of a child to "she said some mean things online about how men aren't women". It's totally the same thing, equally as horrible and worthy of condemnation.

Since it was called out in the video it's worth mentioning some of those testifying for the side that lost. The Scottish government (SNP) and by implication the UK one (Labour), Amnesty International, Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).

The video also made me realise that per the law it's possible when the Fife case resumes the trans doctor can and probably should be called "he" throughout legally. That could be interesting, wonder if they'll try to slam a gender rights certificate through before that can happen.

The great coercion was that a doctor looked at my naked body and sexed it, and then, my parents and community chose for me a gendered name and upbringing.

In a free society, this wouldn't have happened. But the reality is that our first gender is pushed upon us, on the basis of a fictive "sex."

The trans struggle is to liberate our gender from the lie that was our "observed birth sex."

We can do that a number of ways, including by modifying our body to be more like the other sex, but ultimately it is our gender we are shifting, and with it, the way the world treats us.

If I'm opposed to the sex/gender distinction, it is only in the sense that I believe sex is fake and that when I go to the doctor's office what I am really asking him to do is alter my gender.

He's saying that trans identified women (pooners) are now required to use the women's bathroom and they're SO INDISTINGUISHABLE from actual men that now, actual men will be able to sneak into the women's bathroom. Because men and pooners look exactly the same.

I also got the impression he's saying that if women get raped by men in women's bathrooms they deserve it. Because women made the super manly pooners have to use the women's bathroom thus allowing actual men in.
