Also the time when another guy asked how to delete a post, and they told him to enter his email address. Then he did it and doxxed all of his personal accounts.

I half-believe it was a humiliation ritual to make the user experience as bad as possible to incentivize pass buying and other half-believe it was due to the incompetent unmaintained 10 year old code.

It's funny how there is at least one schizo for every general on any board. Even the most autistic and appropriate generals have their established occasional schizoposters.

I think it's to throw bots off. If it thinks you are a bot due to other factors it does that.
I have personally not experienced it with 4chan's captcha. But I swear GOOGLES FUCKING CAPTCHA DOES THIS SHIT in scenarios where it really doesn't like you for some reason.

I saw one anon one time troll a suspected activist by demanding he post some ham/pork with timestamp and got the guy to actually go to the nearest convenience store to buy a cheap ham and cheese sandwich to post even though he already failed the bacon test

This, it's not even really a custom 4chan thing, other sites with captcha have been doing it for years. I remember Omegle and Shamchat would decide you're a bot and stop serving you captchas for a while (hours on the former, a full day on the latter) if you requested too many because you were connecting/disconnecting too frequently.

No, he's an actual person but he usually browses /dbdg/ , the fighting game general and a gacha game general and shits that up by spamming pictures of the white haired twink from that JJK anime and blogging about whatever streamer he's watching because he's a loser with no friends. (He started shitting up /dbdg/ in particular because he kept trying to vandalize the OP with a video from his youtube channel and pitched a fit when people refused to use his vandalized OPs.) The other guy that came into your thread is a schizo called insomniac_d0ze (which is actually the name of another user who no longer browses the thread which he stole for some autistic reason.) He literally sits in the general for hours a day replying to almost every single post. But he does it with various names which almost everyone has filtered. So when he doesn't get enough (Yous) he'll take his name off for awhile, but he likes it when people know that it's him so eventually he goes back to using his schizo names.

But d0ze HATES when other people get more attention than him, so when Basil shits up the thread and people are yelling at him instead he goes on a sczhio melty and will start spamming the thread, falseflagging as Basil to try to "ruin his reputation" (everyone already hates him) and shit like that. He recently had a full schizo meltdown and was spamming multiple threads at once. There's one where he spammed our thread hundreds of times, I wish I could pull it up but archive.moe fucking sucks a nigger dick and has search disabled for some autistic reason so I can't find it.

Could be? That's the magic of /vp/, there's so many shitty people circlejerking. Other fun stuff includes sperging out about older generation games because his favorite newer gen games got insulted, sperging out about Ice types whenever someone tries to have any discussion whatsoever about them, flooding threads talking about Smogon (for those who rightfully don't play Pokemon, it's the equivalent to "street rules" that's adopted by a lot of people) and screeching nonstop about how it's a "fanfic".
And then there's some other dude who spams Seviper eating Cynthia nonstop.
Magical place, really, there's no fucking moderation either because they're all busy in the porn threads.
