Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

I dont understand the importance of why this news went viral but I think its about issuing a signal command to an FPV drone from 1000kms away to seek and destroy a target in the frontlines.
In the combat zone near Chasiv Yar (DPR), a new ultra-long-range drone control system has been successfully tested. An operator from Moscow, with the help of the Orbita complex, carried out a successful combat use of the Ovod FPV drone at a distance of about a thousand kilometers from the target.

The new development of the Center for Unmanned Systems and Technologies includes an intelligent communication system and a neural network algorithm for tracking targets. It is reported that during the test flight, the drone covered 11 kilometers from the launch point to the target, which it successfully hit.

The founder of the Espaniola brigade with the call sign "Spaniard", whose fighters, under the leadership of the creator of the Gadfly, Andrei Ivanov, prepared a drone for a sortie on the territory of the DPR, was next to the operator in the building of Moscow City. During a conversation with a correspondent of the RIA Novosti agency, he confirmed the successful completion of the task, rating the operation as "four plus" out of five.

In turn, the head of the Orbita project, Andrey Bezrukov, emphasized the historical significance of the event - for the first time in the world, a drone was used in combat with such a distance between the operator and the affected area. According to him, the technology allows you to deploy groups of professional operators in the interior of the country, eliminating their direct contact with the front line and, as a result, reducing the psychological burden on these specialists, who will be able to fully focus on the task at hand.

Keep in mind that, like I posted a LOOOOONG way back, Ukraine was sent stripped-down versions of most of these vehicles.
You are correct. I'm not sure why you mention this because the comparison was for Leopard 2A5s. The only thing missing from these Leopards that I'm aware of is there communications equipment.
We literally gave them stuff that was going to be either scrapped or demilitarized and sold to private collectors.
This is a common misconception used by NAFOids to justify continuation of Ukraine funding. USA gave plenty of things that were not going to be scrapped such as: HIMARS, Patriot batteries, and F-16s. Are you seriously going to insist that ATACAMs are something America was going to demilitarize/scrap?

Laughable.
We will never again see Jewish led neo nazis fight alongside reddit antifa, Sam Hyde, Columbian gangbangers and ISIS against 60 year old coal miners, zombie George Floyd, African warlord levies and Chechnyan mercenaries.
Chechens weren't mercs, at least not in the conventional sense. They are (unfortunately) also Russian citizens "doing their part". It's Kadyrov who's getting paid off by the Kremlin, but that's to keep everyone in line and these payments would continue with or without the war happening.

Also you forgot North Korean Special Forces who are now joined by the Chinsect brothers.

It went viral in part because that news report was quickly scrubbed from the internet after publication because it outed a little too much "secret sauce". Also the claims around the "Orbita System" are very impressive (if true) because it purports to offer low latency drone control (needed for FPV drone strikes) over incredibly long distances and possibly without a need for a mesh satellite network like Starlink.
Orbita, however, is said to enable operators to control drones over vast distances—potentially thousands of kilometers—using a combination of advanced communication technologies. While specific details about Orbita’s architecture remain scarce, experts suggest it likely integrates satellite uplinks, secure data relays, and possibly fiber-optic networks to achieve low-latency control.
Currently it's very easy to trace the location of drone operators who are not using fiber optic cables because they remain in constant communication with the drone. So if the enemy has the means (artillery or their own drones) they can easily kill that operator. This new approach means that operators are very hard or even impossible to identify or kill.

All factors considered, is it actually going to drag on until, say, this girl is eighteen? That'll be 2033.
Funny that you think Ukraine will wait for kids to turn 18 before tossing them into the trenches.
But no. The best guess we have right now is that this kerfuffle will be over in two more weeks or 2026 (whichever comes first).

Unrelated question: anyone else here like BANAN?

New AFU recruitment video. Not sure what they're going for but OK.

A bit of trying to get more idiots to sign up for it, plus trying to manufacturer broad consent to the point they can start mass partyvanning teenage boys. Without anyone raising a big stink but the mothers, so more of the same TCC antics but with 18-24 year olds included.

We already had a case this February when a woman carried out a suicide bombing of a group of TCC "recroooooters". Of course narratives differ:
  • Russia claims she was distraught over having her husband and son die in the war and this was her revenge.
  • Ukrops claim she was "tricked" by GRU into carrying a bomb next to the recroooters without her knowledge.
The Ukrainian cope theory is a little strange given that Russia can easily target recruitment offices with drones/missiles during the day if they so wish and have no need for such convoluted ploys.
Life pro tip for young Ukrainian men: get your beards lasered, and start doing tretinoin and intensive moisturising so you’ll look younger and maybe slink past the hunters for a little longer.
Wouldn't help. There are rumors that TCC is already grabbing boys in the 18-24 range despite this being illegal, and forcing them to sign a "volunteer" contract after beating them. Not even MtF trannies are allowed out of the country. Pic unrelated.

I figure you guys might like this fellows content. He's a local.

As horrible as it sounds I hope that if it really does turn out that big arrow offensives are 100% impossible to conduct until quite literally just about every eligible man and woman is dead I just hope that that the average Ukrainian has easy access to good painkillers.

Even though barely anyone in the modern day remembers this Egypt during Ali Pasha's wars against the Ottomans had a wave of desperate men willing to do anything to avoid being drafted resorting to the most desperate method possible: self mutilation.

There are a bunch of reports of fighting age men choosing to pour poison in one of their eyes to blind it or cutting off the finger they would have used to pull their gun's trigger.
And before that apparently there was even a practice where some mothers would gouge out one of their son's eyes to guarantee he wouldn't be called to serve in any future war.

It's not a pleasant thought, and I wouldn't wish it on any teenager but if they do start to dip into that last pool of meat then some of them might be forced to make the choice between risking themselves being kidnapped, thrown into a cauldron and blown up by artillery or picking what flavor of disability they will have to live with for the rest of their lives and then either having to inflict it themselves or getting one of their loved ones to do it for them...

Worst part is that by default if they are forced into the dilemma in the first place they are innocent; the younger Banderites who were raised to be killers either joined in week 1 (and thus are likely dead or disfigured) or fled with their families to the West where they will continue le fight long after the war is ended by doing things like alogging former classmates over the internet because they paid someone to run over one of their legs rather than die for nothing.

Expectations are for "big arrows" to come down after the Slavyansk/Kramatorsk agglomeration (the last major fortification of Donetsk region) is neutralized. After this it's pretty clear sailing all the way to Keef because there are few big cities or natural barriers in the way.

Same. My expectations are that things will get much worse and that towards the end Ukranda will be throwing any and all goy-meat into the trenches to stall the Russian advance for just an extra hour or two. This old meme has never been more apt for the moment:
gonna get way worse.webp

I was mostly referring to the comparisons between the Bradleys and BMP3s that was mentioned.

I hoped the Europeans weren't stupid enough to give them current-gen vehicles. But apparently they were. Not surprised.

To be clear: I was just referring to the Abrams and Bradleys specifically. And I'm not trying to justify it. Old or not, they shouldn't have been sent over at all. And the fact that so many have been captured in the first place painfully shows that.

Just saying that the versions of those two specific vehicles sent over were intentionally outdated versions in case something like this happened.

That's definitely not the case for all the other fancy stuff the Russians have been capturing and studying. I'm painfully aware that the Ukies been sent a ridiculous amount of current-gen equipment on the taxpayers dime and lost it.

New Simp article dropped. Unfortunately it's paid, but he always gives a good chunk as a preview. For anyone unfamiliar with his writing I encourage folks to read through some of this past articles from this year. Simp gives a good synthesis of news from both politics and the battlefield. His only downside is that sometimes he's a little TOO dramatic or over-excited. I guess he does that to try and drive engagement. Also his comments section is somewhat cancer, but you are there for his analysis/summaries first and foremost.

Europeans didn't have much choice because it turns out their armor stock was severely depleted from neglect and parts cannibalism. Another example of current-gen equipment given to Ukraine is the French CAESAR SPG.

I apologize for popping off on you. I should be more charitable in my interpretation.
Thankfully even normies are starting to wise up to the fact that US has sent Ukraine not only modern (that is, needed for US to wage war) equipment but also money (either donations of cash or loans) that Ukraine used to pay goverment salaries, purchase more weapons, and of course embezzle and steal like no tomorrow.
