Why don't they ever say or do anything about the insane amount of children in their spaces? Seriously, go on Xitter and look for shota/loli accounts, 70% of them are owned by people under the age of 18. Literal 13 year olds calling themselves lolis or shotas, posting loli/shotacon art, interacting with such material, all very openly and sexually. And they don't care. Hell many of them even defend it saying loli/shota "just means petite" and isn't "inherently sexual". So many groomers talking to children about this shit and they don't care because that's exactly it.. they care more about protecting fiction over reality.

Also, I love how they accuse people of watering down the term pedophile by calling these lolicucks pedophiles, but then call YOU a pedophile for.. hurting their feelings, ig. Same people tend to be "pro-para" and believe that there's nothing wrong with being a pedophile because "they can't control it, it's a mental illness" so why do they treat pedophile likes it's the worst thing in the world suddenly here?

It wasn't obscure, but it was only really known and talked about within the weeb/anime sphere. Digi was the most famous example of someone who liked it, but some anime content creators at the time (Bardock Obama is one Digi named) used to harass and dox him over it. As Anime has become more mainstream, the subject of lolicon and shota has become more well-known to people than before. Japan has a hit-or-miss issue with how it views its Western fan bases. Similar to China, they only really focus on their native markets, but unlike China, they sometimes bounce between caving in. I wonder if loli/shota will slow down or stop if there is enough backlash.

You aren't entirely wrong, but I think its a 3 point connection triangle of like the paraphilia itself / how deep it is, ones unwillingness to resist, and surroundings encouraging it as risk factors. Yes, theres 3 types of pedos: actual genetic sociopaths who get off on hurting people, people who are porn addicts chasing a thrill and people who are emotionally stunted seeking attention. I think the one that I posted is closer to her real voice than the spastic 5 year old voice she puts on, just imagine that same voice except slightly more feminine and you have basically the average British 19~21 year old woman's voice, you can tell because the one I posted has pretty much the same accent as her mother's meanwhile the spastic 5 year old voice has little to no obvious accent (and that's almost impossible if you've grown up in a British household)
