i actually dont like american. something is off about the taste. yellow chedder can be fine, but thats not american. i love me whites tho. and swiss is something else. oh - and gruyere, but i dont know the difference between that and swiss minus the holes.

I think its that other cheeses are older food traditions. American cheese is new so it became the goysloppiest of cheeses because its probably more an innovation in cheap processes, reflecting the development of American values corruption.
