If our minds were just pure abstractions living in the ether, capable of being molded into any shape by the right training and forces, women should have no trouble with F1 racing. F1 is really physical. You need to be very strong and have exceptional cardiovascular fitness to manage the G forces and strain on the body for a long race. They hit g forces of up to 3Gs multiple times - that’s the sort of thing astronauts experience during initial lift off and while it’s not for as long as you’d get as an astronaut it’s repeated, and strong enough to blur your vision. They’re also exposed to extreme heat.
The strength required is huge as well - I’m pretty sure I was told that the force to hit the brakes alone is about 60kg, which is more than I weigh, and they do that a couple of hundred times a race. Very few women can withstand those kind of physical stresses for a couple of hours, and most F1 drivers are in amazing physical shape. I’m not surprised it’s a man’s sport, it’s pretty extreme stuff.
There are some Ok female rally drivers, but that’s a different sport
