another time a coworker asked if I wanted to join his group to watch anime and without even thinking about it I looked up and said "isn't that like watching porn together"

It's coming back. Mods are too personally invested into the site to ever give it up. The core team have been 4chan moderators for nigh on 2 decades. They do not know what to do with themselves if 4chan doesn't exist. It is their life in a very real sense. However much you miss it the mods miss it 10x more because it is their raison d'etre. Plus they make money off it, and I doubt they have stellar resumes for finding real work.

Jannies, though, might bail. They don't have as much skin in the game, and being a 4chan janitor was just a power trip for most of them not worth the heat now that they've been pwned. Good riddance.

/pol/ sisters... I just realized that we had a school shooting and it wasn't discussed on 4chan at all. Isn't that crazy?

This does give me some hope on it coming back. I do miss it, as sad as that may seem to people.

Hard agree. In a world with like 4 website that makes 4chan like...10th most recognized even among normalfags. Even in a world where Hiro or the mods bail, I don't doubt some industrious individual sees an opportunity and buys it
