Wouldn't a patent law office want an examiner to join their team? Why did he stream on YouTube instead?
Honestly? Not really. In my experience law firms are generally not that impressed with ex-Examiners. Certainly not as impressed as you might initially think they would be.

There's several reasons. Firstly,(and maybe most importantly) Examiners are public sector creatures, used to cushy targets, minimal time pressure, working from home, being almost impossible to fire and so on. Are they going to be able to adapt to a very cutthroat career in the private sector after years of that?

Following on from that, being a lawyer is a people business. You will need to be able to communicate well with clients and other stakeholders - you will need to be likeable, since the client could always use a different lawyer if they stop liking you. Patent Examiner on the other hand, is quite isolated, solo work. They don't need to develop those skills, and actually can be complete misanthropes to their "clients" if they choose, with minimum repercussions.

Finally, just knowing the requirements to get a patent does not make you an expert on drafting and prosecuting patent applications. It's easy to criticise. But every patent application started out with a meeting with an inventor and a blank page. Nothing an Examiner does in their role demonstrates the ability to take that meeting and blank page and turn it into a legally enforceable monopoly right of useful scope.

BTW, all of the above are just general observations. I don't know Kurt at all and I've never even watched his streams. I'm just saying becoming a Patent Attorney after a stint as an Examiner isn't a given, although of course it does happen.

The most preposterous part of the stream has been that color grading he's probably spent a week on to not make him look like a ghoul.
He looks like he’s in an episode of ‘00s Behind the Music. It’s really weird.
I guess Nick is obsessed because Aaron escaped the drugs/degeneracy and Nick still can't.
Not only escaped, but escaped mostly intact. Lost the BPD wife, but has a new girlfriend, same job, court case settled at cost of KNU, no probation or drug testing or jail time. Aaron’s not rootable but he sure BTFO Nick and the harem.

So the only thing to take as gospel is the 14yrs, 11months in the position. Especially with government work you don't willingly leave that close to a nice even milestone. I vaguely recall he wanted some promotion within the office and didn't get it. This lead to an non-amicable exit and likely burned the kind of references that really help in private sector hiring.

One thought has come to my mind.
I hope that whoever is assigned to Nick by the state for his CBT (or whatever it is) is made aware of Nick's livestreaming antics.
Wouldn't it be WEIRD and FUNNY for Nick to be forced to re-watch his greatest hits like "Hey John" and "Anime sucks....copeandsneed"
I don't envy whoever gets the job - getting Nick to admitting to any sort of character flaw will be akin to a Maoist struggle session.

Every word that oozes out of Nick's mouth just makes me more and more certain that you simply cannot share a society with Libertarians.
He's so fucking childish. So fucking selfish. So short-sighted. He has no care or consideration for anyone else—not even his own fucking children.
Nick is enough to make someone like me go from "not all libertarians" to "actually, fuck libertarians, after reevaluating my politics I'd rather define myself a minarchist." My local government is fucking batshit and I'd like them to knock it off but fucking libertarians, man.

Someone with more autism should make a full timeline of Nick and co's retelling, coping, accussations, implications against Kandiyohi County.
muh it was prescription medication
muh unconstitutional search warrant
CPS lied, police lied, "look at other conservative e celebs getting arrested! isnt it weird?", "who knows what cops bring into your house!"

It'll be great. Nick either finds the wherewithal to admit it and work through it (🌈), or his therapist won't write a supportive letter. Hell they might even write to say he isn't giving it an honest try. These people are used to being deceived by people who only had their manipulation skills and not a mountain of cash to fall back on. Much like bossman's drug tests, they don't just share a copy/their intent up front. It frequently goes straight to the PO/Judge. Just imagine therapy between now and August, lying his ass off, only to find out it secured his stay in jail instead of preventing it.

Lmao the dude looks terrified

Someone clip that diatribe about the drug testing lab and the judge conspiring to not invalidate any other results
Him mentioning that challenging the drug result is "nigh impossible". He also randomly mentions his law school before dropping the point, definitely didn't cook his mind with nitrous!

Haven't watched the whole thing so sorry if this isn't the specific clip. I can tell from this segment it's probably another show where he repeats himself over and over.

So is it shit like this that Nick has to go to the Cognitive Skills Therapy class (I can't remember what it is called, but it was close to that) for, to deal with his refusal to take accountability for his actions, and to stop blaming literally everyone else but himself for his problems? Are they used to dealing with manipulative, gaslighting, lying bloviators? What happens if there is someone who so intractable and unrepentant (which I believe Nick to be) that he gets absolutely nothing from the course? And what happens if the course administrators don't sign off on it? He goes to the clink for 30 days, well so what? That is unpleasant, and not nothing, but it isn't like a year in prison. So what happens after he fails the course and gets out of the county lockup?
