The Elder Scrolls

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I wish they weren’t shadow dropping it so I could see the specs. My 1070Ti and i5 6600k aren’t cutting it anymore.
what, you don't have money to buy fake frame nvidia cards? you can always go with AMD and get yourself buttfucked with driver support being shit.
and if you want a heater in your home you can always buy intel so anything you buy past 2024 will be able to run it, don't disable TAA though or else your frames will drop.

CPU already probably bottlenecking the 1070Ti, and I need a new mobo if I wanna upgrade that.

Todd has said repeatedly that he likes to limit the time between the players seeing the game and getting their hands on it.

While that's true, I'm pretty sure he was wanting a 3-6 month marketing timeline instead of 3-6 years like it is now, not the retarded situation this is turning out to be.

Starfield ran like absolute shit + this game is on Unreal Stutter 5 so I'm not very hopeful.

I do agree that a "SURPRISE HERE YA GO!" style launch is stupid because A: people will NOT be happy their specs aren't up to snuff (people like me), B: unless Bethesda has thoroughly playtested and ironed out the bugs (lol, lmao I know) expect a NV style drop. And C: normies don't know its coming out. Trailers and press releases create hype and that hype equals money because the reach is larger. F4 would not have done as well as it did if Todd and co just dumped it on us with no warning. I do expect sales to be bad at first simply because normies weren't aware it was coming out, and unless Bethesda knows this they'll assume weak initial sales = bad product no one wants. And that will kill future remasters like Morrowind or Fallout 3/NV.
On one hand, I am actually intrigued since most mod projects are dog shit or are abandoned by their creators due to the amount of work that remaking a game entails, but on the other hand I wish we had some tastes of what changes were made and how they improved the overall game to make up excited instead of giving us an unplayable game on our laps.

This isn't being done in house at Bethesda it's a Silent Hill 2 remake situation where it was farmed out to a third party developer. It's also UE5 not Creation Engine so a large scale nodding scene is unlikely.

Assuming this is a real game of course, I'm still not convinced it is.

I'm tangentially excited but keeping my hype reserved. The color grading looks terrible but that could be time of day or easily fixed with enb/shaders. Modability will be ZERO since unreal is completely unmodable dogshit, but oblivion on its own is mostly good enough to not need big overhaul mods like shitrim. When it comes to bugs either two wrongs will make a right and the shitty buggy unreal engine 5 skin-suit will either somehow magically cancel out the creation engine bugs or more likely it'll be the worst of both worlds and be a janky mess.

Looking forward to the uncanny contrast between the old voice acting and the new graphics at least, should be very funny. Unless they've recorded new lines in which case, 0 soul and it's going to be dogshit.

There's no way they rehired Sean Bean and Patrick Stewart to reprise their roles. That's AAA level money.
And having new voice actors would instantly make everyone sour on the project.
I do think mods will EVENTUALLY come out, but not before studio approved add-ons from the creation club are launched. Don't expect a Sexlab mod for the game.

Is... is that... le heckin' remake...?! The same game... b-but... AGAIN?! I know I've criticized Bethesda for releasing Skyrim 100 times, but I'll happily give them $70 dollars for the same game again! Actually $80... no, $90! I just complained about Nintendo doing this, and despite the fact I will still buy those games, I am ALSO going to buy this game! I could have played Oblivion any time I wanted with all it's content for less than $5, but this is a REMAKARINO! They're gonna charge for the DLC separately again? That's fair, it's extra content chud. Look at the GRAPHICS! The GRAPHICS are so awesome no wonder you need 120 gigs! I fucking LOVE remakes! I LOVE playing the same 2 decade old game again for 20x the price! Hail based Bethesda and GODD Howard! I LOVE REMAKES!

I DESPISE REMAKES WITH ALL MY SOUL.

Microsoft certainly has enough money to rehire them. They aren't nowhere near as prestigious as they were before, its been 20 years. SB was always a C-List actor and the Picard show and numerous capeshit movies haven't done wonders for Stewart either.

Guys I would love a remake of oblivion in a new engine, but it's not happing. bethesda will keep making games in creation engine and you will buy them.
there will be no elder scrolls IV remake today.

Saw a slideshow picture of the new rtx cards. They legit use 4x fake frames as a benchmark.
