"Law enforcement agencies may release footage at their discretion if it “aids the law enforcement process, promotes public safety, or dispels widespread rumor or unrest” (per Minnesota Statute 13.82, subd. 15). This is often used in high-profile cases to address public concerns."

Many of you are concerned about the widespread conspiracy that exists in Kandiyohi County in regards to the unlawful prosecution of Nick Rekieta. Rekieta has variously said the following:

1. The sole drug testing facility of Kandiyohi County is providing false reports that
2. The Judges of Kandiyohi County are aware of and choose not to acknowledge to avoid having to review every inmate of the County Jail.
3. The police of Kandiyohi County had personal grudges against Nick Rekieta which led to mistreatment during their search and
4. The police of Kandiyohi County made no effort to correctly determine who was in possession of which controlled substances and instead simply placed the blame on Nick Rekieta whom they already did not like.
5. The police of Kandiyohi County trained to identify drugs are unable to execute that job correctly and falsely identified multiple controlled substances which did not exist.

The release of bodycam footage would clear up all of these points. In particular, if the drugs were responsibly stored and inaccessible to his children, we would know the false positive is more plausible. If the police mistreated April, it would be on the footage. If the police took necessary precautions to determine who possessed what, it would be in the footage. The substances needing to be identified could perhaps be better identified by the public, or at least the public could see if the mistakes made by the certified drug expert were reasonable.

To this end, I request any and all statements made by Rekieta, at any time, written or spoken, which would support these points. If you have anything to add, please say so here.

Please do not use this thread for idle chitchat. I need posts that contribute to this purpose.

@Third World Aristocrat would be excellent for finding clips for this

A dry supercut with no music, zooms, or effects aside from timestamps of all of Nick's claims related to the cops mistreating him during the raid and conspiring against him would help a lot.

The most important clip I'd say is his repeated claims that his daughter tested positive because a cop put a cocaine contaminated glove on her head and that it's in the bodycam footage

A secondary one would be his claims that the cops stole some of his cocaine during the raid

I for one, think Rekieta is innocent, and we MUST gain access to this body cam footage to clear his name at all costs.

Rekieta's claims of a coverup are deeply disturbing and it needs to be looked into. Bodycam footage clearly would let the public know the truth of these accusations. It is in the best interest of the public and restoring faith in the law enforcement and judicial branches of it.
the one time he wants to Cover Up too... spends his days on Naked Bull Island!

I Heard rumors that there was a balldo shrine in his house and police who were also part of a balldo cult helped hide evidence after seeing he was part of the balldo cult and had a balldo shrine .

I would appreciate this rumor being definitively dispelled, especially as it implicates officers involved for having conflicts of interests, putting balldo worship above law enforcement.

Body cam footage could help put this rumor down for good.

Shortly after the arrest, Nick liked and replied to comments on his Instagram which accused local law enforcement of corruption, lying, and setting Nick up, implicitly agreeing with them.
Obvious promotion of the grand cop conspiracy theory by Rekieta can be seen in the Instagram comments he likes on his posts. These are clearly indicated by “❤️ by author” above the comment.

I know this might sound kind of sad to a lot of people on this website, but I am absolutely concerned with the integrity of Kandiyohi County. The fact that there is a possibility of a police officer contaminating one of Rekeita’s children with cocaine, followed by the court’s refusal to retest the child who tested positive, is extremely sketchy and really puts Rekeita in a bad light.

Obviously, we know Rekeita is an asshole, but having his child get into his stash is like 10 tiers higher than just “asshole.” Quite frankly, with faith in the institutions of the federal government at an all-time low, especially from myself, this entire case has really caused me to seriously question not just the local and state police in Minnesota, but also my own state.

Still think he bitched up and screeched like a child on camera and that's why he doesn't want this released.

throw it on the ground.webp

Doesn't sound like he was mistreated at all during the search, he was just seething. Should note this traffic stop with the initial contact took place away from the house so it's "public."

Didn’t he also say that some of the coke seized from his house was never accounted for, implying the cops took it?
Yes, he claims that 2oz/bullet on top of his fridge was documented on the bodycam footage but was suspiciously missing from the pictoral ebidance (aka exhibits). He does it on Melton's show here:

God bless @elb
