Adding trigger warnings and fifty lines of dialogue denouncing the slavery depicted in the game without making the black people look bad is beyond the technical abilities of the team, and a game like Morrowind can't be re-released without that.

So I got through the sewers and like...this game feels cheap. It reminds me of single dev concept games I've bought on Steam.

Maybe I'm too used to Oblivion, but everything moves way too fast and floaty, All of the voice lines almost seem...sped up and almost clip into each other. Baurus didn't even turn around when he pointed at me and told me to not follow them at the start.

It's better looking but also somehow cheap? Something about UE just doesn't impress me and I can't explain it.

I actually thought I'd like this and so far it gives me the hibbies the same way a troon does. This thing is trying to seem like Oblivion, but it ain't Oblivion.

I'll give them this. Melee combat in Oblivion and Skyrim really looked and felt like just wildly spamming the attack button and swinging your weapon around repetitively, with a power attack here and there, so even if the actual mechanics didn't really change, it legitimately shocked me that they added some extra animations as you repeatedly attacked an enemy to spice things up.

Way too hard to streamline and casualize for "modern audiences" I imagine. Oblivion was kind of already their first crack at doing that. Plus it has a very rabid purist kind of fanbase that's hard to please, Oblivion's fanbase seems less like that.

Yeah, something like that with modern presentation could be really compelling. I'm not sure if people would go for the lack of hand guided narrative though, no cutscenes or anything. But if you took that gameplay loop and made it more visceral and gamey to play I think you'd have something there. I'm imagining something like Dark and Darker - not an online/PVP game but just how things in that game are weighty and it's all about delving deep into dungeons.

Starfield procedurally generated all the random planets, so it's in the realm of possibility. I guess it's a matter of training the player to use the fast travel system and not try to walk everywhere (unless they have that specific kind of autism, more power to them).

I feel like the best way to slip this mod through would be to allow players to type whatever they want for those two options, and market it as for those who don't like 1 and 2 and would like to change it to A and B. Y'know. That'd be the primary use case, right?

This is such a weird thing to not allow mods for. Nexus is full of questionable mods yet this is where they draw the line. Not killable children. Not 10000000 pages of low effort CBBE UNP PUSSYRUS configurations that look almost exactly the same. Not a mod that lets you brainwash a rape victim into wanting to fuck you. I don't even have an issue with those other mods. I'm just baffled that modding out Body 1 and Body 2 is like drawing Muhammad to these people.
