Not until you can get it for cheap, or you pirate it. I'd recommend just playing the original since, from what I can gather from my limited time with it last night, it really is just a graphical "upgrade". Which doesn't matter when the vast majority of the animations are the same janky ones from 20 years ago, so might as well get the OG visuals to keep it consistent.

TES elves are only pretty in your R34 fanart. Downy eyes and Habsburg jaws are standard Knife-Ear physiognomy.

And let's not forget that Wood Elves are cannibals.

And let's not forget daggerfall

And morrowind. Low quality, but you can tell that the devs weren't trying to make her look ugly. I don't know what went wrong with skyrim where the devs insisted on making the characters, especially the female elves so utterly dry.

Meanwhile this is a skyrim players best attempt at making an attractive female elf. Keep in mind that this is the character creator, female elf NPCs could look like anything.

This is Taarie, she runs a clothing store in the capitol city, and spends her days making and selling clothes to the upper class of skyrim; you can also marry her; but the devs insisted on making her look like a tragedy.

Absolutely not. It plays terribly and insisted on inheriting the flaws of a 2006 game. Wait for skyblivion.

Combat feels pretty much the same as in the original
I would disagree a bit, the punchier animations and reactions to hits makes the combat feel a lot crunchier, blocking also feels good, I would argue it might be even a bit better than vanilla Skyrim. If it had something visceral like decapitations it would be even better.

Depends. Are you willing to heavily mod the original game for your first time to remove the busted level scaling and to maybe punch up the visuals? If so, mods have this beat hands down. If not, it's serviceable so far.

I'm not super far in as of yet, but I think I probably will. The core of what made Oblivion so great is all still here, and I personally think the graphics are quite nice. Modding the original has always been a huge chore for me, and I mod all other Bethesda games extensively, but Oblivion just always gives me so much shit. The writing is shallow but fun and entertaining, the voice acting is charming, although they reuse voice actors too frequently. Changing how leveling works has made it more pleasant than having to carefully and meticulously plan out all my skill increases. IF they fixed the issue with Melee combat feeling weak at higher levels, then this will have fixed some of my major gripes with the original.

Edit: Also ignore the poorfags complaining about 'Muh $60' I paid 60 USD for the game when it came out TWENTY FUCKING YEARS AGO on the 360. Accounting for inflation, this is like a $40 game, which is more than reasonable for a complete overhaul of a game, including all DLC.

The body type 1 and 2 is stupid but the game only gives you two choices so it's saying there's only two genders, thus angering both sides. I can respect that.
What level of bothsidesniggerdom results in someone taking unashamed tranny pandering and then smuggly lie about it being a muh both sides thing?

This is genuinely mentally ill lilbro.

It works well as an oblivion substitute. You can tell the loonies in here are deranged 'fans' who haven't touched a TES game since daggerfall yet pretend to be up to date with the IP, despite it being not-of-their-favor for longer than it hasn't.

Wait for a sale and for a few patches to get out, but so far, everyone I know is enjoying it. Especially at the price, given everything else is +$80.

It's also funny that people are spreading misinformation about a game that is so terribly bad that one shouldn't need to fabricate anything to berate it, no? :)

Knights of the Nine armor is fuckin' downgrade and I throw my mad hat at Virtuous for that. Both Saints and Seducers' sets look like shit as I'd expect, though it's male variants and they never looked good to begin with. Something tells me female ones are no better.
Have mixed feelings about the Amber one.
they fucked up grand champion armor too, knights of the nine was probably a mistranslation from whoever was responsible from remastering that armor to his fucking eyes and brain working proper.

1. If you don't own a PC at all. (You could play the original on console too through backwards compatibility, but you might encounter bugs and shit you can't fix.)

2. If you do own a PC but can't be bothered modding. (Easier than ever nowadays thanks to automated install lists but still takes time you'd rather spend playing the game.)

3. If you own a PC but want a more stable experience overall. (I'm only assuming it's more stable a la Skyrim Special Edition versus Skyrim Legendary Edition. When I played Oblivion last year, crashes became more and more frequent the longer I played for. It got to the point I didn't bother playing the Shivering Isles after I finished the main quest and Knights of the nine because of how often it was happening.)

It's largely just the original game with some better hit feedback, faster movement, visual uplift, some QOL fixes, and some extra voice lines (didn't encounter any new ones directed at the player, just ambient ones between NPCs). I can see myself playing it one or two more times and then uninstalling it since if you played the original, you've already played this version really. I think you can get the same level of 'huh, that looks better/worse' from just looking up things online. If I hadn't played the original sort of recently then maybe I'd feel different?

He was talking about the shader precaching screen not the in-game map. You almost had a non-retarded post there and then you fumbled it. Sad!

Can you even alter animations via modding in a UE5 game?
yes, you can add and alter them but you need the UDK, conan exiles did it but i doubt bethesda/virtous will gladly give it away, may be impossible since they declared no support but you never know.
other than that extended scripting is extremely cancerous to try, unreal is just that shit to mod, like unity.

I never saw these people seething to this extent over body type A/B or 1/2 in games like Elden Ring and Palworld.
There was was some anger over them but the key difference is they are new games while the creators of this remaster deliberately went out of their way to change male and female from the original to body types.
