I have Oblivion on Steam I bought it during the Steam winter sale last year. I was holding off playing it because people were talking about a remaster coming. Since it's UE5 slop I'm just going to throw on some graphics mods and play the original. I don't have to put up with shitty performance in a 20 year old game. No ugly female characters with flat chests and no body type 1 and 2 bullshit. Yes, I noticed that shit.

They have removed that trailer and replaced it with the non EU one (and I can't find the EU one at a quick google) on Steam now, but if you zoom and enhance:



In game purchases are 16+ on the PEGI (EU version of the ESRB) ratings list. 18+ is restricted for games with Lootboxes, and explicitly requires they call it out, by law: "Includes Random Items."

Either they have a lootbox system in game no one has noticed yet, or they are planning on adding one in an update or patch. Lootboxes would absolutely require them to lock down the game from having mods available, otherwise 5 minutes after they release that shit you'll have someone add Hodd Toward, a Khajiit NPC standing next to the lootbox building offering all the lootbox rares for in game money instead.

Bonus if they get an AI to have Todd's voice say the "Khajiit has wares, if you have coin" line, because fuck that shifty little faggot.

Everyone is. The game hits about 30fps and stays there after a while on even new hardware. The price of having Jeets or Females work for you is eternal vigilance.

Oblivion's opening being better than Skyrim's is probably a big factor. In Oblivion you have control over your character from the get go after creating them, have to go through a short (5-15 minutes) sequence with the Emperor, but are more or less free to do whatever after emerging from the sewer into rather picturesque locale. Compare that to Skyrim's cart ride + railroaded opening + leaving the cave with Hadvar/Ralof (rather generic snowy forest) - and that's the opening if you don't care about dragons or shouts.. Otherwise you're taking upwards of half an hour or more just to unlock the main gimmick of the game ('shouts') and fighting dragons, which requires going through a whole other dungeon first. Skyrim is more persistent at pushing you versus Oblivion.
