The Elder Scrolls

Bethesda has banned mods for Oblivion. Bethesda.
That's probably just the default warning they slap onto everything. Not even Bethesda would be that retarded. Has anyone looked into the anti-cheat, is it a actually in place for this single player game?

So is the level scaling still here? I went into a cave at level one and fought nothing but wolves and scamps.

Edit : Just did some looking and it turns out the level scaling is still here and just as bad as it has always been. Holy fuck. The ONE thing that was absolutely busted about the original still here in full force.

Absolutely fucking shameful. I thought for sure this would be addressed in a remake as Oblivion is practically ruined by this feature. Another point in Skyblivion 's favor.
Goddamnit! That's like the one thing everyone wants to be different. All kinds of other busted bullshit would be willingly tolerated if they fixed that.
Not even Bethesda would be that retarded.
The rainbow that could be seen with the naked eye from Mars...

It's not a "remake" though. There's a reason it calls itself a remaster. Same game with a new coat of paint over it. The RE2 remake is an example of an actual remake because it was made from scratch and plays completely different. That's going to be the case with Skyblivion.

don't know what went wrong with skyrim where the devs insisted on making the characters, especially the female elves so utterly dry.
I fucking love the Skyrim aesthetic and how weird and off-putting the elves are. I cringe every time somebody shows me an ESO generic fucking knife ear straight out of LOTR and tells me it's 'better'. I want ES elves to look fucking weird, it's based.

Yes they just gave these guys free shit so they can instantly smack them into the grave.

People like you when talking about Bethesda will always confound me

They're an incompetent company at times. They're not a downright evil company.

That's ea. And recently Nintendo for some reason
Recently?

Motherfucker, Nintendo was the Microsoft of the console world before Microsoft entered it themselves. They're the most corrupt, greedy, arrogant and just plain shitty company in the business since the 1980s. They just have an army of 5-year olds and emotionally retarded adults defending them.

Mightily optimistic. Some companies / groups make impossible rules like this to essentially ASSFUCK anyone they don't like. Like maybe you have a rule for your shop saying "don't walk on the concrete floor" and really its impossible to navigate the place without doing this, and you let 99.9% of people walk on it, but then 1 guy you dislike you say "GTFO, service suspended, you walked on the concrete floor". and since its a posted rule, they can.

When Todd sends his Chess Club Hit Squad out to flashbang all 5 people who own and mod Starfield like WOTC I'll give in to alarmism.

It's time to start apologizing to the vanilla Oblivion NPCs. We didn't know how bad things could get.

Argonians would look tolerable for the most part if they didn't have shit all over their heads clearly pasted onto the model, huge and distracting. Khajit got it even worse as now most of the NPCs have names that look horrific with the new lighting and often don't even match the original character. The cute khajit lady who runs the inn at Chorrol now has what appears to be a lady beard.

The body type 1 and 2 is stupid but the game only gives you two choices so it's saying there's only two genders, thus angering both sides. I can respect that.
Connected with this are how the game (thankfully) doesn't let you select your pronouns separately like a tongue of other woke shit, although I'd wager it might be a technical limitation thanks to reusing all the code from 20 years ago.

Don't be facetious. Its as simple as if todd DIDN'T LIKE a mod that you made, AND knew your steam ID, he could go to his computer, and delete your ownership of the game. You technically DID agree to the eula, which said if you modded the game he could terminate the license, so "legally" its airtight.

If you think this is retarded, remember that disney used a disney + trial to hold themselves HARMLESS when someone FUCKING DIED in their park. Because the eula for a TRIAL said "I agree disney can never do anything wrong", or something to that effect.

So todd personally deleting your copy legally because you make a mod mocking him REALLY wouldn't shock me

There was was some anger over them but the key difference is they are new games while the creators of this remaster deliberately went out of their way to change male and female from the original to body types.
I also think those games inspired more conversation due to merits or story.

If you recall, the A/B stuff was also in Starfield, which was also a new game, and discourse around it seemed to survive a lot longer. Starfield had so few actual merits and inspired so little conversation people were more interested in slap-fighting about social issues than the game itself, and once the culture war people had moved on you were left with only a handful of people who genuinely liked the game and a legion of people who were either apathetic or generally disliked it. Maybe how long and loud the A/B and type 1/2 conversation persists online could be an early indicator of how impactful or well thought of the game will be after a few months?
