It'd be funny if all the public AI seething does is expose AI to more people at no cost of the company, while people saying thank you to an AI is actually hurting the company more.

And gets your website on every malware list.Basically, you make webscrapers mine Crypto for you as the cost of access rather than rely on captchas or robots.txt. This is supposed to stop websites from getting crawled and DDOS-ed by scrapers by making your website more expensive for them to frequently access millions of times per day, and earns you money if they do.
Thank you.Alright, today I want to show a video with a bit of sanity on the topic of AI but more so on the topic of copyright, and how copyright has adapted in response to rising technology.
This is probably the most informative, digestible, neutral, and reasonable coverage of the copyright kerfuffle regarding AI.
It helps that while the video is skeptical to how copyright acts as a protective legislation for creators, they do show distaste over the increasingly invasiveness of modern technology, and rather than pushing to strengthen copyright, they propose several pro-consumer rights such as right to repair at the end of the video. This is probably the most agreeable solution I seen to ensure new technology will remain pro-consumer.
And they have the gall to call others unoriginal. You don't know how much I hate this sort of thumbnail trend. Someone talking with a mic in a room about something that's been discussed and repeated a trillion times is as uninspired and run-on-the-mill as the very thing they complain about.
It's especially funny cause the ex-viners like Drew more or less started it, then one chick got success with it and they all just copied her.You don't know how much I hate this sort of thumbnail trend. Someone talking with a mic in a room about something that's been discussed and repeated a trillion times is as uninspired and run-on-the-mill as the very thing they complain about.
That one was a long time coming. LORAs based on real people was already getting flack because of deep fake concerns. To compromise Civit did ban posting NSFW images of real people. But come on, you and I both know what kind of images are being made with those LORAs...and real people models which sucks.
I can already tell there will be a sizeable number of users who will straight up nuke all their works so the "evil AI" won't be able to copy them (it's already too late for them).A dataset trained on AO3 a fan fiction website has been created on HuggingFace, a website that hosts AI tools and models. Since release, there has been a flood of copyright infringement claims from the writers of the website, and the data set has been, at least temporarily, closed. AO3 has sent a copyright notice and the user has since sent a countersuit.

Vanceposts, obviously. That one was a long time coming. LORAs based on real people was already getting flack because of deep fake concerns. To compromise Civit did ban posting NSFW images of real people. But come on, you and I both know what kind of images are being made with those LORAs...
AI generated yaoi porn. I'm sure someone out there would use it.Also, why would you use a website full of pooner porn and Α/Β/Ω madness for training data? What's the use case of an AI that can write like a fujo?
They're not banning real people, they're hiding them from everyone's feeds. Basically you have to search for the lora, you can't just browse the latest stuff and come across pics of Sidney Sweeney. Almost seems like they just want the general public to not realize that content exists, minimizing it as a focus of the site to bring less traffic and reduce chances of people generating NSFW stuff of real people. That one was a long time coming. I don't believe they're banning guns, just explicit images where a gun is being pointed at the viewer. Unless I read it wrong.Seems civitai is going no-fun mode, they are banning stuff like diaper and shit which is good (and about time) BUT they are also banning guns and real people models which sucks.
The furry porn will still be there tho...
I understand the sentiment, but do fanfiction writers really want to open up the can of worms that is copyright with regards to their hobby?A dataset trained on AO3 a fan fiction website has been created on HuggingFace, a website that hosts AI tools and models. Vivienne Medrano would never have to write another script on her own again.AI generated yaoi porn. I'm sure someone out there would use it.
They can still have a case, just because their work is based on infringed work, doesn't mean the original components of their work don't have their own copyright. The problem is, whether this is considered a form of infringement is far from being settled. They assume it is infringement just because it is AI, despite the fact a lot of decisions with AI and copyright have not gone in their favor or were overturned. It also doesn't help that the arguments people have for AI infringement, can just as well be used against fanfiction.I understand the sentiment, but do fanfiction writers really want to open up the can of worms that is copyright with regards to their hobby?
It would be a fun exercise to determine whether the yaoi trash fic you're reading is dripping with organic or synthetic estrogen. What's the use case of an AI that can write like a fujo?
