I'm gunna make a guess that this wipe is going to end at the end of August, and we're either getting 1.0 at that point, or we're having a super short wipe before 1.0 in December. I don't believe that we'll jump straight into 1.0 after this wipe. Honestly with all the community feedback they're actually paying attention to recently I'm feeling optimistic that the game might actually be massively improved over the next 12 months. All the QoL changes are something the game has desperately needed. Despite what people say the game is still getting new blood, too. I unintentionally bullied a duo with less than 50 hours between them last night.

I'll predict right now though that the steam reviews will be full of trash cans pissing about sweats and blaming every other death on a cheater.

l8 to the party, but 1.0 is apparently coming out this year, in the TarkovTV last week, Nik said he'd share the exact release date at "the exact end of Quarter 2 2025." which is what his "Q2 2025!" tweet was supposed to mean.

I wish they finally added a proper PMC karma system so that there would be a reason for PMCs to actually identify what they shoot instead of just shooting everything on two legs at sight. That way, the most annoying thing about this game could have some alleviation.

Yea, this is one of my gripes with the game. As is the only mechanical reason to play BEAR or USEC is whether or not you're okay with the Rogues gaping your asshole on Lighthouse or not. It's already the worst map in the game so making it a bit more tolerable is a good reason to play USEC. There'd need to be a genuine downside to having bad karma though. Parmesan isn't enough of a deterrent since he's barely functional as is.

I don't recall Nik saying anything about wipe, I believe Sergei Domontovich, the lead designer at BSG implied that wipe or some other special event or something along those lines was due in August, based on the weight of the Labrys Axe that Tagilla had in the new map. This was before the TarkovTV too

Hard disagree, PVP is fundamental to this game and due to the dogshit lighting, you can't ID what you're looking at half the time. You can look at a guy out in an open field on a sunny day maybe 30 meters away and he'll turn into a pitch black shadow, this game race swaps niggas at distance. Getting punished for shooting other players is retarded especially when it's not your fault if they turn into shadow puppets at any range that is further than like 10 meters.

I heard these exact same complaints when the Scav Karma was added and none of the fears said back then actually manifested. As of now, the PvP consists of you getting Head-Eyes-M80'd by some no-lifer camping in a bush within a few minutes of the raid starting instead of actually interesting fights. If people in Arena can adopt to having to identify their targets, then the regular people in Tarkov can do it too.

Trust me based on like 400 Arena matches so far this wipe, niggers cannot ID you a solid 95% of the time.
I wouldn't care for PMC karma if the lighting wasn't dogshit and if universal clothes like the USEC Predator, and ADIK Tracksuit didn't exist. 9 times out of 10 if you're seeing someone you're trying to make sense of their gear first and that means their bags, vest/rigs, and helmets, so that's upper body you're staring at. You can't tell if a guy is a USEC in a tracksuit or if he's BEAR.
Paired again, with poor lighting even in bright sunny fucking fields, the PMC karma system if it actually matters like it should, will be dogshit. You will be punished for participating in the fundamental aspect of this game, which is fighting to survive, and that's fucking retarded lmao.
Player scavs can get bent, scav'ing shouldn't even exist in this point IMO. Stop being poor, niggas needa learn to play fr fr

Ignoring the bright ass fucking armbands in arena. It's not even random what color you have to look for anymore you're always "blue". I still occasionally shoot and get shot at by team mates even with that change. It's not really the same thing as needing to identify enemy players in the base game, either.

It's impressive that despite this change, people will still take a solid 3 second look at you and still shoot you. maybe it's just EU servers and being full of absolute troglodytes though.

This goes for every modding community out there, there will always be weird freaks and fags, people with massive egos, and strange anti-social retards. There's few people out there these days who just make something because "I dunno, I thought it would be cool/I wanted it."

I think my biggest gripe with EFT after almost 2000h is just that it keeps getting more and more broken. Random server disconnects, random sounds, just entirely broken lighting system that makes your model disappear almost entirely in shadow/behind glass, and spawns that are objectively worse than others, and also that if you spawn late, in certain cases you just fucking die lol.

Used to happen to me a lot when I had a shit computer, it was the reason why I didn't play the game for awhile, loading in 5-8 minutes late into the raid made shit nearly impossible.

The really weird part is that it used to be fine for me. 4k 60fps with no issues in loading. Now I get a jittering 40fps with FSR that looks like garbage. And now, out of nowhere, my loading times are closer to 8 mins

Tarkov had been like that since forever, I still remember times when you could play on 8GB RAM, now even 16GB RAM isn't cutting it. Streets of Tarkov are horribly unoptimized, lots of people struggling running them. You CANNOT play Tarkov without an SSD at least.

I tried PvE on my own and on paper it sounds nice however I can't help but think that they made PMC bots dogshit on purpose (because they're essentially scavs with better weapons) to make it boring and get people to be cannon fodder on PvP to streamer sweats or chinese cheaters.
