What do you think will be different when the site comes back? Will it feel like an altchan? Will the jannies go full gestapo mode?

That's why I think RapedApe is full of shit and there's no way 4chan is coming back anytime soon. Not unless they either migrated the data to Vichan or they employed a team of giganigga security experts to patch all the vulnerabilities.
I think the most likely scenario is that they bring the site back up on Vichan without migrating data
They've had board wipes before, the only real casualties will be 6+ year old threads on dead nigger boards like /po/

As far as concrete changes go, /f/ is allegedly being axed but who gives a shit
If /qa/ isn't outright deleted I will be shocked
Soyjaks will probably be unofficially banned on most of the site for a while, similarly to Homostuck

  • Multiple picture uploads per post on /a/, /co/, /o/, /po/, /toy/, /tg/, and the porn boards
  • Live action permanently banned from /co/
  • Flags and ids on each board
  • Creation of the /incel/ - internet celebrities board
  • GR15 abolished (already belongs on /co/) and a new GR in place that bans all Twitter screenshot posts outside of /incel/
  • All mods and jannies on /co/, /v/, and /a/ dismissed for dereliction of duty/actively antagonizing their boards
  • /qa/ unlocked
These are mandatory conditions of surrender, otherwise 4chan can stay dead.

I really felt that, especially the part where you went:

You know what just dawned on me and I am now intensely curious about?

So obviously people have been talking about "where all the /pol/ schizos going to go" "where are all the /biz/pajeets and /v/ retards go?"

But you know what I want to know? Where some of the weird little generals from /trash/ are going to end up. There were a handful of them that I would stick my head into our of morbid curiosity. One was a out kpop, another was dedicate to this weird little webcomic called "Habits" by Lauren Monger.

It was these very niche, very out of the way generals on a board you had to go out of your way to visit and search through. They always seemed very tight knit (for a 4chan general anyway) and often reminded me of those old small forum communities where it felt like everyone knew each other.

I really do wonder what they're up to. It felt like those generals were a main meeting point for some otherwise pretty lonely people.

If desuarchive catched that 1 they must be still on that original codebase.
I'm 99% certain they're still on the same codebase and that the relaunch is going to be a fucking mess. Apeazoid is being way too smug, he's thinking this will be business-as-usual - that he's too gemmy to fail.

Hopefully I can at least be proven right that he's a fucking nigger, who has precisely zero business running a Japanese-American anime forum.

/haha/ stopped being about Habits like a year after it began. That entire community had a schism because the OG habits threads were populated by (at the time) late teen/early 20 something posters talking about how they related to clem spinning her wheels. Eventually there was a split because after Habits went on indefinite hiatus, some people wanted to turn the threads into basically the /trash/ equivalent of /sig/ (self improvement general on /fit/) and others argued it would be a blind-leading-the-blind endeavor and wanted it to just be a gay/trans furry general. The latter group won and the threads became nothing but discord drama, gfur hookup bait, and "uuuoh I'm gonna woss but I'm so sad" for years afterwards.
