Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

I'll be charitable and say ol' marble mouth meant they were prepping for print. However, given the fact that Eric doesn't know how to use words I reserve the right to change my mind.

They really did edit it, Carrow Brown got a credit. Maybe they wanted to make sure it fits for a possible crossover with the main Rippaverse? Maybe it's a service YellowFlush opted for in the mysterious NDA Rippasend agreement? It was probably needed because the main editor Lit Devil is about as dumb as YellowFlush just more sober. I could talk about Rippa's speaking abilities but Das Rayciss!

already over $30K and 1000 sold. This should get over $100K I'm sure Dillard is happy getting a 5 figure payout this year instead of getting crappy page rates faster.

Sounds like Narwhal had a similar deal with Millar. Not ownership. But in his case, he gets 100% of whatever Dark Horse divvies out to writers/artists in comic sales. Seeing as how it was hard to find at comic shops and there will probably be a second printing. Narwhal is probably pretty happy right now.
Millar sold all his work to Netflix for millions then they have a budget for him to produce new stuff (they also get the rights to it). There is a backlog of Millar stuff supposedly in production at Netflix so someday not particularly soon Narwhal's work could be a show or movie.

That's what I get for being nice.

"What it is is I'm the publisher and the editor and this is my shit now and if you don't like the shtate of things you can talk to my rockstar lawyers about it."

The literacy of the authors is irrelevant, I thought this was a fulfillment service. But, like you said, NDA.

If I was Dillard I wouldn't celebrate just yet. I keep hearing 40 percent but not of what. Rippa gets a slice too.

The stupid NDA again. It could be 60/40 split of what Yellowflush gets after Rippa or it could be 40/40/20 YF/Dillard/Rippa. But the pay rates for comic art are shit. $200 a page is generous (most don't get that much) and that would have net him $12K. If the campaign stalls out he could make less than that but if it makes the goal maybe more.

Not sure the NDA has anything to do with it. YF said 40% of the rights or some shit. But you're thinking what I'm thinking, is the cut before or after Rippa gets his. All I know is YF, Rippa and money is like a tranny with a molotov and directions to a Tesla dealership, a recipe for an explosion.

You try way too hard to shit on Eric July, I gotta say.

Like I don’t give a shit if you hate him or whatever, but you come across as really wanting to shit on him whenever you get the chance even when he does the most basic of things.

I thought this was a fulfillment service. But, like you said, NDA.
If I remember correctly, there are levels of services you can chose from, simple fulfillment, storefront, just the founding service ( like igg), printing, editing and so on.
I remember when they started promoting it that YF chose de "all-in" option. He and Dillard only created the book

So wait... now Rippa, the king of indy comics logistics next to everyone else in CG, is bad with money? If he rippa'd somebody off, I'd wait until they say he did before speculating. The only other person I know who would ever bother needledicking into Rippa's financial dealings is the Van Scammer himself. Deflect, deflect, deflect even when it's perfectly clear Rippa's biggest problems are more like flaws than the avoidable self-made obstacles of CG. Rippa never promised to start a revolution, he just had a team of people help him make mediocre comic books that fit his branding.

The fact that he is actively doing for himself and others is precisely what Sciverfraud promised his fans and collaborators. Imagine a protagonist so fucking cringe he wraps his tongue around people to save them. Imagine a 300lb bagpipe of a "legendary artist/creator" wrapping his tongue around a urinal for views. Imagine being years late on multiple projects but even when they finally come out, would have struggled to be D-tier titles in the 90s?

All Craps is barely up to Chick Tract standards, from which the shitty logo is derived. Now that I think about it, Ethan has molded his streaming career after Jack Chick, so it makes sense. Call it Trikk Tracts starring Rippa the fallen and those he caused to stray from the true blight of the Comicsgated.

Eric's only crime is exposing the grifters. He did not break the law, he broke their illusions.

I have no problem if someone wanted to say Eric is a mush mouth nigga lolbertarian ancrap, he is. But if it's BPITU/Trashcast tropes it's been done to death. Obviously Eric is handling money in a way that is maximizing making more comics titles faster, not pilfering it for gambling and getting wasted like his rotund naysayer.

He didn’t help his case by releasing generic titles that no one is really interested in reading unless they are looking to criticize the comic.
That has literally nothing to do with anything.

Eric does nothing but have non-mainstream beliefs (while still be sane and moral) and make good business.

EJ is your run of the mill lolbertarian black guy. His content is boring and his comics are OK to mid at best, but Nothing he does is interesting enough to warrent the the nonstop sperging about him.
He literally does nothing out of the ordinary. The only thing he does is his best with his job. That was enough to expose EVS and his ilk.

Isn't it funny that a lot of people on this thread WANT to shit on Eric, but he's so normal an inoffensive that they can't.

I’m sure there’s stuff you could shit on him for, but as you said, they’re so mundane and run-of-the-mill that it just makes the person trying to shit on them as nitpicky.

Yeah. If I recall, it's supposed to be as basic as fulfillment (you ship stuff to them), print and fulfillment, store, advertising, whatever might be needed. Someone on a Lord Raptor stream the other day said that Jay (Drunk3P0) said that RippaSend was cheaper than using IGG and Critical Blast.

Unfortunately, editor can be fairly broad. But they're also selling another comic for $6 that took place in WW1 I think. So it's possible she helped make it so stuff in MGP aligns with that. But until YF says something, it's all just speculation.

It's most likely just an expense, not a percentage. But who knows. Could be as simple as a storage fee (how much shelf space the books/shirts/posters take), fulfillment/pick fee, and whatever it'll cost to print or advertise.

Golden Patriot sales are looking GRIM. Dillard is looking at making less than a Walmart greeter at this rate.
I suppose, but 1,350 books sold in a day done by two people who are nobodies is no small feat. Guessing that number will double (possibly triple) by the time the campaign is over. Which could mean a decent fanbase if they are able to do a series and get at least one of these out a year.

Somewhat wonder what it'd be though if Ethan didn't spend over a year going after YF.
