Diseased Open Source Software Community - it's about ethics in Code of Conducts

I see Linux From Scratch as more of a learning experience than I do a functional operating system, and it does that job really well. Haven't used it myself, but I can say with confidence that running Gentoo has helped me tremendously in low-level Linux tinkering, especially with setting up WRT & Pi-Hole.
YOU SHUT YOUR PI-HOLE!

Carrotcypher also moderates a bunch of infosec and privacy subreddits so this witch hunt could really go places.

Why do they care so much? Wake me up when they expose people that have done actually bad things, like being a pedophile. I know their priorities are backwards and they will never do that.

I hate the thumbnail, his face looks stupid.
Lunduke creates all his videos in a hermetic chamber powered by his own farts, which he exclusively huffs. He spends all day up on his high horse, but all he ever does is cruise around talking about people sperging out in open source projects. He doesn't actually do anything useful except push his smarmy YouTube videos. All these projects with crazy admins tend to take care of themselves. They all eat each other as a matter of course. You don't need some old dude with a weird smirk to be narrating it all from YouTube.

He would definitely do himself a favour if he shrunk the amount of space his face takes up and got over himself a bit. (He makes a new expression with each video, so you know he practices.) Often he'll have a screenshot of a previous video he made on the RH side of the screen - and that shot will also have his face in it, he never crops it out.

He's also long-winded, which I hate, but to be charitable that's probably more of an algorithm thing than a 'loves the sound of his own voice' thing. If he was more succinct and less sensational, I'd do more than just read the headline of this thumbnails - but again, maybe that behaviour is necessary for him to keep his niche.

Distro circlejerking is never not gay but I WILL defend the honor of Arch. It has an installer now, I tried it, you can basically default next next next finish your way through it. I never have issues with my Arch installation. I update shit, and it works. It's really not a big deal.

Arch Linux actually did have an ncurses text installer (archinstall) before they rebuilt the install media to accommodate for the transition to systemd in 2012-2013 (somewhere thereabout). That's when they pivoted over to a manual installation process using the Arch Install Scripts. Glad to know that they have an installer again; will they bring back the Beginner's Guide that outlines every step to get to X11? Shitcanning that Beginner's Guide in favour of the General Recommendations on the ArchWiki was a dick move back then, and it's absolutely fucking unforgivable now.

Of course not, Arch is full of circlejerking types that think they are so smart for using Arch, its why the Arch install guide is so terrible near the end because improving it would make the distro too "noob friendly":
Especially the network and boot manager steps, not even a sane default recommended like NetworkManager or grub? Which is how the Gentoo wiki does it.

If Linux distros were on a Dunning Kruger spectrum, Arch would be the peak of Mount Stupid. Gentoo doesn't have nearly as many problems because actual Linux gurus use it, unlike Arch.
