It's a 76 lap race on a 2.6 mile track, totaling 197.6 miles at speeds averaging 169 miles per hour (based off 2025 statistics for average speed per race. Tire management is extremely important in ARCA (or really any stock car racing really). He's a bad driver if he can't do it, but it did happen in Lap 62, so it wasn't early into the race. Anyone know what was the last lap that he went for a pit stop and got tires changed before that crash?Maybe. Maybe not. I'm not nearly as familiar with racing cars as I once was, but tire management is a thing. No idea how much it applies to specific tracks, much less Talladega, but there are times when old tires prohibit the car from being driven the way you want it to. The wear and tear tends to let you know immediately if you're pushing too hard
