C-sections are sometimes important to save the mother and/or child's life, but in cases where they are not needed, they provide no benefit and are an unnecessary risk
They also take way more time to heal from and mothers are encouraged to do no lifting or bending for a while until it heals. You need an active partner in those early weeks after a C section because you can’t do a lot of things your baby needs.
