Besides the aforementioned risk of people living in fear of allegations, in some places (including where I live), it's significantly pricier to grab a drink than just having your payment processor dump dollars into an ewhore.

You also want to scout out bars for which kinds have a more chill, conversational atmosphere and ones where it gets too rowdy to hold a conversation or people just go to so they can get fucked up. And sometimes, people who drink with their friends simply refuse to interact with anyone other than their friends since they view it more as a bonding activity. As autistic as it sounds, just like a message board or forum, you kinda have to lurk moar irl to figure out which haunts are worth hanging around and that takes an investment of both time and money. Some college students and fresh grads decide that's too much investment of either time or money especially if they actually care about getting ahead of their studies or job-hunting.

As a zoomer with many tisms and hobbies who's not afraid of social situations, I can just ignore bar-hopping for other cheaper, 'safer' activities like sports, working out, or tabletop gaming (let's not get into how much plastics cost but RPG's just need paper, pencil, and a printer anyway) so it doesn't affect me as much. I can imagine more socially stunted guys my age may opt for instant chuuba dopamine instead due to these same factors.

At this point I don't even think it's younger demographics, more likely to me that it's older millennials paying for this shit since they actually have the money to spend on it.

It feels like there was a lot thing boiling under the surface and other female vtubers were just waiting for a moment to dogpile on her. This is much bigger than it looked at first.

I think the immediate damage, even in those numbers is definitely not negligable, but I think the real damage is going to be in the long term. Since so much of vtubing is sort of collab networking, and this is now going to make her a pariah. Like in the corpo sphere that collab ladder for networking is baked in, new gen debuts and they have a built in network of senpai to help lift them up and for them to work their way upward with. And if a girl graduates the loss of those interactions is felt not just by the girl but by the viewers as well who enjoyed seeing them in those groups.

Sinder has now done this to herself and put her in a position to be isolated within the indie sphere, like not just losing connections with a former company, but in the broader world of Vtubing. Like even someone who might not be outright pissed at her, is likely to still avoid networking with her because doing so will piss their fans off. Which is going to massively hamstring her ability to bring on new viewers to replace those that are leaving over the drama.

And that's without even getting into the fact that the "nano model" she went out of her way to try and keep to herself because she thought it important to her brand is now not just "not exclusive to her" but completely unavailable to her going forward and if she tried to get a new model made now there's probably going to be quite a drop in quality because a lot of artists will avoid her now too.

Maybe I'm just too male-brained to comprehend the catty female mindset, but I struggle to understand what Sinder even thought she stood to gain from all this. Why do you need to kneecap your fellow streamers, why can't you all be successful with your own individual audiences?
Besides, if you're able to think even one step ahead, you can imagine that sooner or later these underhanded tactics will come to light and everyone will hate you for it.
Even as some psychopathic Machiavellian power play, the whole thing is just fucking retarded.

Think it has something to do with her insecurities, since she apparently got shit for having a similar model to Silvervale, so to offset this she made sure other twitch vtubers don't have the same model. Even though the only reason why the models all look similar is because that's how Nano makes models, and that's what's in demand for the twitch audience so everyone ends up looking samey.

but then the irony of it all. The unfounded insecurity she felt toward silvervale, and what she seemed to believe silvervale was doing to her.

Is what she was doing to Spite. Like she was afraid someone above her was doing to her, what she was doing to someone else below her.

That really has more to do with her voice. If she could still sing for long it would have been way different. But then if she could still sing she would not be leaving.

With Twitch really you could get cancelled for the worst thing imaginable, but you just need like a 2 week break and then keep streaming as if nothing happened, and you'll regain your audience eventually. There's been way worse people who've done way worse shit before and they still managed to keep being relevant.
