Look I don’t watch wrestling because I personally find it gay and cringe (no offense wrestling fans), but from an outsider’s perspective this is one of the corniest, most embarrassing wrestling videos I’ve ever seen. It’s just so bad, none of these “moves” look at all believable, which I would think would really annoy real wrestling fans, and the constant mugging for the camera/crowd is so obnoxious.
So basically he's flying himself out there and begging fans to get him booked? And Jesus Christ, did he just take a random woman's picture and put his name over it?
Kind of a mix of both really. One word to really describe wrestling nowadays is that "The Marks are in the ring" AKA all of the people who were fans of wrestling in the 90s-2000s who thought it was real and likely still think that its real decided to get involved and decided to make it all about themselves, and they have to get all of their shit in or else its a waste of time.
Pretty much yeah to that first question, after all how many people really want to see him face off against Jim Sterling for the 100th time. And that picture is him, but with a shit ton of filters in order to hide his masculine features, a Kidd Bandit trademark, and really a troon trademark as a whole.
This isn't even just what low level indies are like, the majority of wrestling is like this now. I blame irony-poisoned millennials. If you ever want to see this style taken to its logical conclusion check out AEW.
I can understand some of the more “hardcore” WWE stuff; it’s like an action movie watching people fight and do cool shit, it’s not my thing but it’s at least understandable, but all of this “lol so random” ironic indie wrestling stuff, especially with how LGBT it’s become, is just pure autism, and I think Joseph is a perfect distillation of that into its final form.
As someone who is 90% autism I resent this remark.
I just ignore the tranny shit and see if Kaiju Big Battel has released anything new. And like come on, how can you not like Burger Bear? Though I'm sure with Swamp Monster potentially coming back to wrestling I'm sure he'll make his way there as no one seems to want him.
