Its very important to never, even for a singe second, let Phil discourage you from checking out the unfortunate games that end up in his oddly shaped hands. Son of a smokehead "played" Wreckfest some years ago, sucked at a derby, couldnt understand how to play online (game tells you if waiting time is required if the race has already started btw), said that it was trash, and low IQ -age quitted. The thought that someone might've skipped the spiritual successor of FlatOut by being one of the unlucky souls to happen upon a DSP Game Pass video is extremely grating for me.

Thank God he'll never touch Kings Field or Severance: Blade of Darkness.

Yesterday, on the day stream, he was talking about upcoming high profile games he wants to play and said he is doing Metal Eden. Now, I know what you thinking... what the fuck is Metal Eden? That was my reaction too cause until yesterday, I never heard of it.
It looks like a "we have Doom at home" kinda game with a female protagonist. It has a demo on steam (which he never played). I played the demo, it was bad. I hope he will play it so he can wagequit it after 1 stream.

There are so many things to appreciate about DSP's Disco Elysium run.

-His obvious desire to brute force arresting the Hardie Boys giving him an automatic game over that is clearly telegraphed by the game.

-The fact that he instinctively picked the "fascist" responses on multiple occasions because he thought they sounded the best.

-Learning about the pale, arguably the most interesting and thought-provoking element of the game's worldbuilding, and misunderstanding it as "These people dont think the earth is round tuh huh" when one of his biggest dents, FlatmanB, is a known flat earther and also that isn't what's going on with the pale.

-The fact that for 3 sessions he just walked around with no pants on because they gave a -1 to savoir faire, a skill that you very seldom use beyond the one check he removed them to pass.

Unfortunately, it's a very dense and wordy game so it is hard to catch all of the truly stupid shit about his run, but thank god it's over.

This seems unprecedented, as I do not recall a single stream without a tip as long as he’s been tracking - both pre and post goal restructuring.

With him recently touting how well he’s been doing, smashing his goals and felting the trolls, etc., an interesting exercise (forgive me if it hasn’t already occurred) would be to test this claim. From my memory detractors were keeping tabs on his historic superchat and member totals, and even with his terrible daily bookkeeping post-restructure, the comparison could be made.

Is Dave careening to his second insolvency arc? Likely so.

His Dento Begysium run reminded me a lot of when he played Daveinity: Original Gin 2 and would get into fights with NPCs all the fucking time. He would read what he would perceive as an insult or sneak diss from an NPC he was talking to, clocked those poor NPCs as no load mowlth droolers, kept picking the most aggressive "fuck your mother. NO REALLY, fuck your mother!" dialogue options in response, then act surprised when combat started. It's a case of art imitating life and how everyone who ever talked to him hated him instantly and wanted to kick his ass.

I kinda wished I played it already before DSP because now I'm not sure. All I know is Clair Obscure Expedition 33 is another example of a damn good game that I recommend everyone to play and it can be hard to judge when you have Phil playing because there is a grease debuff over everything.

Imagine watching a movie(in a sandwich shop) with this guy who wont shut the fuck up. "DUDE WHAT IF MAGIC USER IS A GHOST, SHE FLOATS. SHES NOT REAL?". Hard to enjoy a movie like that when someone already put some dumb bullshit like that in your head at every corner, like he's tryin to outsmart everything because he's so insecure.

The worst thing he does when playing a game, which I can’t stand watching for more than 10 minutes, is the fake “oh that’s clearly the ‘insert game lore’, tuh huh man I wonder if that will be important!” Bullshit he does.
