'disco elysium playthrough' in Youtube's search yields a shit-tonne of results - and the vast majority have view-counts that dwarf Phil's.

I have no idea what Disco Elysium is about but from what posters here have said and what little I've seen of Phil clips it looks like a very interesting, well made game. Phil is too stupid for dialogue heavy games.

I dunno if you ever played it but the closest comparison to it is Planescape: Torment. A gameplay-light, dialogue-heavy cRPG but with the caveat that DE doesn't have a combat system at all, everything is solved through dialogue and that's where the way you built your character comes in. Choices are also important and just like Planescape sometimes even minor things you do can have consequences, sometimes they are minor but sometimes they steer your run a certain way.

If you don't know the whole context and didn't watch the last six months of streams, you don't know what you're talking about and are taking things out of context.
If you know the whole context and watched the last six months of streams, you are obsessed and obviously are a detractor.
If you are a small youtuber, you just want to leech off him to get views and attention.
If you are a big youtuber, you are kicking down poor little Phil and that somehow invalidates your criticism.

Phil has basically created an alternate version of reality where it doesn't matter how valid and solid your criticism of him is, it is automatically invalidated by a completely unrelated and arbitrary rule he made. Just like yesterday when he was arguing how wage-quits are ok, he asks while in a room where he's completely alone daring for an argument against his, and when he doesn't get one because he's alone, he gloats that there isn't any, and then makes a strawman which he then argues against, wins and starts gloating about how he won the imaginary argument against the cartoonish character he just made while ignoring the one argument people always make.

Hey Phil you fat cocksucker, you get criticized for wage-quitting because you are always bragging about how you play games because you are the last passionate gamer in the world and not a shill and are not in it for the money, and also brag about how people support you no matter what because people come to your channel for you. Damn, that's good. I was thinking of fucking Phil through the HoA but this is much better. I'd add saying things like "hey neighbor I saw some guys looking at your house last night, are you having trouble with your internet?" and then tune in to listen to Phil talk about how detractors are planning a home invasion.

And if all else phails, Phil will just pretend that certain things didn't happen. Like how in the "spoon" rant when he was saying "People never show proof when they accuse me of something!" Honestly, I don’t know how or why he got partnership. He bashed kick for a longtime. Said it was a sketchy site and could be a rug pull since it’s run by digital casino. Kick admins use to ban people for picking fights with other kick streamers and people talking down about their site. Either Phil is just lucky or they don’t care anymore.

Kick should put a cap on how many people DSP can ban, just cause of how funny it would be for him to try to decide who to unban to make space for today's crop of trolls.
