I know I'm going by like 90% vibes but that guy really irks me, maybe its the pattern recognition (arab) but I feel like if he wasn't being sued by someone as loathsome and unlikable as Mercante, the line between good/bad would be much blurrier. From what bits of his content I have seen, he's just kind of naturally unlikable. Abrasive voice, face, mannerisms, etc. Not full on dick, but if this guy entered your social circle, he'd immediately be on the wrong side of everyone until proven otherwise. You just have to look at the current fad of bad series/movies raping several franchises as "fan fiction" and it suddenly makes a lot more sense.
The nerdy never-have-been DEI hires got into the writing room, occupied HR, bullied out the last reasonable voice of resistance or accused them of sexual assault, and once they had the writing room floor to themselves they wrote fan fiction Star Wars stories with their personal identity front and center, instead of creating an appealing product for the average viewer.

And even worse is how they raped book series like The Witcher, Lord of the Rings and The Wheel of Time. There they deleted existing lore and rammed in their fan fiction storylines.
