I remember null saying on the MATI segment about this that Billy had some speaking gigs at conventions cancelled and the cancellation notices cited the ongoing lawsuit/defamation. He would’ve been paid for those gigs and they’re a core part of his hot sauce business because he shills it there and often sells special limited edition bottles.

If you can point to actual financial damages caused by a provable defamatory statement then it makes it easier to make a case.

Billy was only awarded non-economic damages. The email was only brought in as evidence to prove the defamatory statements had a real world effect on his reputation, to prove the reputational harm.

Billy never even filed for economic damages.

I find it hilarious that he decided to do an on-camera sponsor for this video when just a couple of weeks ago (in his "I lost" video) he mentioned that he "just don't do well on camera". I don't know anything about YouTube sponsorships or their contracts, but I'd like to guess Revolut put in writing that he has to show his face for their segment.
He's very, very desperate for that sponsorship money in order to pay Billy back. :story:

I think people finding out the lawsuit was actually about the false claims regarding Apollo's suicide and not cheating allegations made them realize "Oh shit maybe Billy isn't such a bad guy and he is justified in raping Karl in court".

He did these on camera sponsors before, but his video have always been voice overs. He didn't have to say anything about it but he was feeling so self conscious about being seen ass-raped he had to blurt it out.

As with a lot of things, when you take a step back and look at things from an outside perspective, you see it the way "normal" people would.

In this case, you realize how absolutely unhinged, cringe, and embarrassing it is to go after Billy as hard as these people have all over a high score from decades ago, to the point of personally going after his family members, and blaming him for second-hand murder.

Plus allegedly cheating is clearly the lesser of two evils.

The first time I ever heard of Karl Jobst was due to the whole controversy regarding the Completionist. If all you know about Karl is from those videos he comes across fairly well because he comes in with all this evidence against a fat charity fraud scam artist. Jirard the Completionist acted like a retard so Karl looked good in comparison. A weird robotic albino mind you, but still good in comparison to the likes of Jirard the charity scam artist.

Now with this Billy Mitchell case all the most retarded aspects of him are becoming apparent. His speedrunning autism. His old PUA videos. The way he lied to his audience about what the court case was about. The way he makes actual accounts on porn sites. The weird obsession about dicks on his discord. The absolute braindead way he handled his court case. Thinking he couldn't possibly lose because "AI never lies".

I now think Karl knew he was fucked legally from day one but rather than admit he went to far and retract his false statements about a successful family businessman, his retarded brain decided to delude itself into thinking there was noway he could be in the wrong and everything was about him exposing said businessman as a cheater.
