I think with Bretons they are more based on the Bretons of Brittinay, France, just with a bit more pan-celtic flavouring thrown in. The Reachmen lean more into the celtic stuff.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a ton of amazing mods for this remaster since Skyblivion is coming out this year. Since it's built on the Skyrim engine mod authors will be able to quickly make mods for it. Oblivion Remastered will be for consolefags while us PC Chads will have Skyblivion.

I always saw it as the nords got unironically colonized by the Empire who basically gutted all their institutions and instated their own, and even some of the trad Nords might not even know much about the old pantheon because of it.
I know that's the in-universe explanation but it's hard to imagine a faith that lasted over 3000 years being wiped out when the Empire is at it's weakest in 200 years. Having both faiths, Imperial pantheon in west Skyrim, Nord pantheon in the east, would have helped highlight the cultural divide that fuelled the civil war.
They massively simplify each province so ironically provinces have the most depth and variety when not featured in a game. Colovia became nothing and instead of a jungle you got a forest in oblivion except iirc some southern parts, I think along the borders the terrain became flavored by neighboring provinces iirc.

Eso might be an exception I was having fun with it until a boss and I realized I can't just breeze through all the mmo combat unless I have buddies
These changes are large changes but they make sense from a development POV, even if in lore they are a jungle. It was probably from a concern that it would be too difficult to make a jungle with the tools or fears it wouldn't play well to an audience. The removal of the Nord gods is a small change that has big implications and robs the nords of a great deal of uniqueness. All they had to do was model a few more shrines and make the voice actors say Kyne or Orkey instead of Kynareth or Arkay

Etruscans were an italic people that were next door to the early romans and before the rise of the Roman Republic, were the major power of the Italian peninsula. since Rome was founded at a cultural cross road, the roman people and their culture was a mix of etrusican, greek (from greek colonies in italy) and other cultures in the area. The romans acknowledge some kinship with the Etruscans but didn't consider them to be Roman until the last days of the Republic (think how American culture is derived from mostly British culture but Americans and Brits don't think they are same thing but recognise the shared heritage) Etruscans are natives (Nedes) who live next door to a people (Heartlanders) that are a mix of them and a foreign culture from across the sea (Ayleids)

I say Romanised/italicised germanics for Colovian because we are told that Colovians make up large parts of the legion and the legion culture is based on the Colovians. In Morrowind we see imperial legion towns and they are timber framed houses and medieval European castles suggesting that is the architecture of Colovians. Colovians are also decended from Nords who are clearly Nordic (Northern Germanic)

Been a rough year out there for slop peddlers. I guess calling everyone bigots if they don't want to pay you to brag about ruining their hobby out of spite isn't a winning model. And it seems like... Is this a good lesson for Bethesda to learn, or a bad one? Any universe in which TES6 is more like TES2/3/4/5 and less like Starfield is a good one, I guess.

Yeah but I miss the feeling like when you went to solstheim for the first time and you see just completely different culture from morrowind or from the imperial who had their own architecture and culture in places like forts.

I think oblivion and skyrim went too much towards a singular biome and singular culture. Even the colovian clothing in morrowind also hinted at a fairly different subculture in cyrodil as well.

The only part of modding Starfield that appeals to me is turning it into a Star Wars game. Even then the game performs, looks, and feels like ass no matter what you do to it. And like OR it's too fucking big. There is nothing about Starfielf that justifies its size, and I mean that in both the absurd amount of empty, shitty planets and the amount of disk space it takes up.

The new content from the remaster isn’t half bad. Hopefully some modder ports it to the original so people can have mods and the new dlc.

Morrowind was also panned by contrarians on release and denounced as the start of "consolification" of TES. Yes, even despite the fucking Windows-like UI you'd never want to navigate without a mouse and the microscopic text. There is no winning with them.

I also don't get what copium are Skyblivion retards huffing. Tamriel rebuilt will never be finished. Morroblivion never got finished. Skyblivion also will never be finished. These are just portfolios for faggots trying to land a job in the vidya industry. The only fan remake of a game that got finished is fucking Black Mesa.
