I'm wondering when Giant Bomb stopped having real Game of the Year discussions. I somewhat remember a post comparing NeoGAF forum threads about the subject, showing how from one year to the other, people completely stopped giving a shit. I know GB had other problems but the fact I forgot about this is bugging me. There's also the Hottest Mess category they had, which they got rid of at some point? Again, I'm forgetting stuff, but in one year, they got political with it and fans complained.

There's so much shit related to this thread in my head that I'm actually forgetting shit now, fuck. Why can't these game websites just stick to fucking video games? :roll:

I guess I shouldn't be saying shit, and yes he was a fat fuck, but he was just 34 and it was his wedding night. There's a 0% chance he was sober, even if it was just mixing uppers and downers, alcohol and Viagra.

Yeah, Giant Bomb was mostly good. They should have just rebranded after they fired Gerstmann.

Their income was derived from hating you and the things you like while telling you why you're a horrible person for liking them. They'd want you kicked out of each of your hobbies and to whip yourself in the public square in apology while they all watch and laugh. They took everything, contributed nothing, and wanted you to pay them for the privilege. They hated that working-class people could come home from a 12-hour shift tired, broke, and wanting to have a little escapism from drowning in bills and being screamed at for politics. I'll laugh until I crack a rib.

Mind you they were being paid far more than most of us ever will be, all to live in fancy homes a lot of us won't get to, traveling to events we would have loved to have gone to, just to shit on those things and tell us how much we were shit for liking those things. Actually, I think I've got a game that's apropos:
