Happy to see these fags lose their jobs. They've all ball washed and gargled the cum of triple a game company's fucking over consumers and have never raised any issue with the anti-consumer practices. I would say learn to code but all of the low IQ shit coders have been replaced by ai so I guess go work at Walgreens or Aldi ya fucking skrubs.
It's funny to think these are
already the people who didn't get a callback from WaPo or some other rag, but it's not that they were ball-washing the AAA publishers that make them worthy to be reviled, the long-established quid pro quo of giving AAA games a good word to not piss off the cultivated relationship (read: free games and other perks) that every industry has...it's the fact that they were
absolutely horrible people.
As
@DickMain mentioned, these are the same fuckwads who had nothing but hatred toward their audience, would use their influence to ruin the lives of anyone who crossed them, all while enjoying a cushy, comfortable job that people that actually play video games would've loved to have but just didn't have the right connections to get into it.
I watched the first 30 minutes and this part was satisfying.
They mention their union (and ongoing negotiations), turned out that did jack shit for them. Given how much these types tend to hype up unions (and their union was a real one, tied to
Writers Guild of America East), I guess they learned the hard way that when the chips are down, they'll never stick their neck out for you.
"Lies of c-suites"
Buddy, you're small time, not them. Give it a year or two, nobody will even remember who you are.
Polygon isn't even a name that people remember fondly. They were founded in
2012, with plans to (according to Wikipedia) a "'serious commitment to online journalism' in an age of content farms and disappearing print publications" and wanted to "be able to run longform 'magazine-style journalism' that could be of historic interest" and yet within a few years became the same ol' shit as everything else. I don't even think they even
had a golden age that people look at fondly. Giant Bomb isn't that much older either, but they at least did have a time when people remembered them fondly.
