The Official Simpsons Griefing Thread


I noticed on one of the magazines had Gwen Stefani on the cover. Looking through the Simpsons Wiki/Fandom mentions Marge was a senior in high school in 1974. Gwen Stefani was born 1969. She would had been a toddler in 1974. Not to mention Tim Meadows was on SNL from 1991 to 2000.

What in the hell happened to the Simpsons timeline. I stopped watching the show around say the early or mid-2000s. I know it's the Simpsons but it feels weird. Like a cheap knock-off by the Chinese.

Regardless of when you think the rot started, the Simpsons stayed consistently good or at least decent longer than most shows ever get to even run and well after most rot to the point of total shittiness. Not to mention outlasting the family sitcoms it was initially a parody of and effectively building the modern adult cartoon genre.

It should really just be allowed to die at this point though, it's getting really sad to see how old the actors are getting and how dogshit the quality is.

As an aside, I loved the Land of Chocolate level from The Simpsons Game.

Actually inspired from an earlier Simpsons episode. S3, E11.

The animation from 2007 compared to 1992 shows how less expressive animation quality has gotten over the years.

It is a byproduct of what happened when material runs in real time but the characters don't age with it. It became a big problem in American comics, and it has also become a big problem in adult animation. Homer went from being a character born in the 1950s to technically being a millennial.

so for a minute I was running a simpsons channel on cytube while the current guys weren't there and the previous one was dead
it's still there but not publicly listed because sometimes I want a particular episode dammit
pop in for some random thing

somebody went and voteskipped through 11 seasons and left exactly so the next person there walked into Steamed Hams
