I can shed some light on this. In Israel, there are very few pro-Palestine lefty commie types (because well no shit). If you're left wing you're a labor zionist, which means you believe in an Israel that has socialist style welfare programs/workers right but also capitalism, you belive that a two state solution is the best for israel/palestine/all involved, you probably don't support the settlements and you think that Likud (the major conservative party in Israel which Bibi heads) is doing more bad than good domestically in Israel and isn't helping the situation in Palestine (aka he is doing wars to stay in power). These guys used to be the majority party in Israel for 40 years until the 1st/2nd intifada proved them wrong(they believed that if they got a Palestinian government to acknowledge Israel's right to exist, then the conflict would end- history would prove otherwise- see the Myrters Fund/Pay-For-Slay which the Palestinian Authority sponsors) . The closest I could think would be something like an LBJ Great Society type democrat.
