How dejected Rusty sounded when he admitted to the judge he could pay the fee was awesome. I could just see him thinking "Now I'll never get me my penis sucked!..."
Probably because he reads this thread and realised that Hardin would expose his brothel buying adventures and screaming into the Mojave Desert about avenging Dennis Hof.

That's what IFP is - an ability to open a case for free.
Yeah but all IFP status did was get him out of paying the filing fee to initiate the case.
Ok, I see, the filing fee is to start the case.
paraphrasing

He wasn't ready for the question. He was very defensive about the first question "can you not pay the 400 dollars?" Lolcows are nothing if not prideful. Of course Greer had 400 dollars! What, are you trying to say I'm a broke ass genetic reject your honor?!

You could hear the wheels turning in his head after the fact though, because he started to interject and get clarification. The Judge again asked "Well, Mister Greer, if you were to pay the 400 dollars would be unable to pay your rent and food and other things you need?" And AGAIN Greer say's "No, of course I can pay for myself! I'm not a broke ass genetic reject your honor!"

Judge very quickly said "Great! I am ordering you to start paying fees!". The Judge also sounded incredibly happy as he said it. He didn't even wait a millisecond after Greer's answer.

Kino.
Yeah, I can see pride explaining it.

Still, that's a shitload of pride. (Well, and probably a lot of not being a quick thinker.)

I was also confused a bit by Hardin on this argument, it does seem obvious that defendants wouldn't need to be listed. I can kind of follow if he's trying to say that they weren't even witnesses before, and now all of a sudden they are defendants after many years and the statute of limitations, and therefore this is all a bit desperate or improper from the Plantiff. But hopefully the written motion he promised to file on the matter is better argued.
But Josh has been the defendant this whole time (as well as KF, a website). I feel like that would've gone over well if he just didn't mention Josh. "Your honor he's adding new people and asking us for discovery about them but he hasn't even said what discoverable information they have.". If this is an obvious assumption (and as a layman IMO it is) in court why did he mention Josh at all?

Removing IFP is huge, because russtoleum would have to pay the $402. Not anything else, immediately, but it's a huge step.

Court COULD charge for some things (the fees in costs and fees) but the real winner would be removing ECF from russ, but that's much harder to argue for.
It also reinforced the record of Greer's repeated failures to be transparent. Which the court called out at multiple points, including when discussing the Rule 11 motion - the court said essentially "I get why you filed suit but you can't lie to the Court."

It's probably a better option than lying to the court.

Yeah but all IFP status did was get him out of paying the filing fee to initiate the case.
And it was part of the reasoning for reducing the sanction down to $1000. $400 more is clawed back as a result, to the taxpayers rather than Josh but I trust Trump to spend it better anyway.

I'm surprised that Hardin doesn't bring up to the Judge that Greer is a qualified paralegal, as I doubt the Judge realises this.

I also predict that Greer will not pay the filing fee, as he hopes that closing the case will mean that they don't go forward with further sanctions on him.

I can't read as fast as this thread was going, I wish I'd been caught up more so I could have seen some of the retardation before it got swept.

I'm just glad I started skimming enough I could see UM call someone a "HAIRLESS FUCKING PIG OF A NIGGER" before he edited.

Greer lost his IFP status and has to pay the court $400, otherwise the case is dismissed. Also, the case is stayed while the court decides whether to dismiss it anyway.

I may be wrong, but this is how I understood it.
Russ also got his motion for stayed bond denied. Bunch of motions were taken on consideration. Judge said he was writing Rule 11 sanctions order, Russ got ordered to produce a doc, etc

Hardin really should've pushed back Harder on Russ's conspiracy theory that Hardin himself is posting their meet and confer calls on the kiwifarms and the judge issuing us a warning as if we are listening in on their phone calls and stealing confidential documents!

This adds to the growing body of evidence that Russell doesn't know about this thread, he doesn't know Useful Mistake posts things from public documents, he thinks Null/Hardin are directly posting their emails and phone calls for fun, and Russell never includes any screenshots of this thread, just troll emails "taunting" him about Steve Taylor etc.

We are WAAAAAY past the point Greer can avoid Sanctions. Even if he withdraws the case, those Sanctions are coming.

I dont think he needs to. He can dismantle Russ on Russ's own arguments.

Russ is a sniveling gimpfaced reject. His arguments are a matter of the court. You cant bully the retard, but his statements and actions are totally fair play.

From my armchair on the other side of the world, Russhole seems to have worn down the Magistrate's tard shield.

Reading between the lines, it feels like Magistrate Judge Bennett may look at this case somewhat more critically than he has up until this point.

Hardin did a great job articulating the Defense's position, even when pressed by Judge Bennett.

imo Russhole being stripped of his IFP status wrt this case is the biggest W Null has enjoyed thus far. Even through all the drool and his shitty phone connection, I could hear the instant regret followed by the growth of yet another trauma lump immediately after Russhole said "yes", as he realised that he'd lost 1/10th of a hooker with just one word.

The next round of filings will be interesting. Russhole won't produce a valid restraining order against Null; at best he'll submit a copy of an application for a restraining order that was never filed. We may never know the full details, depending on whether or not Russhole understood Judge Bennett's clear instructions to send said restraining order to Hardin marked "Confidential Attorney's Eyes Only" as per the SPO that Russhole doesn't quite have the gist of.

Here's hoping the next hearing is as entertaining as today's.

It was worth getting up early for, and I was relieved to see the limit of 50 participants suggested earlier ITT was incorrect. Peaked at around 170 IIRC. Godsneed, my fellow Russtorians.

BTW Nick Vlahos can go diaf.
