New Creepcast
I like how neither of them noticed the Slenderman cameo until the end. Guess we're not seeing Marble Hornets part 3 anytime soon..

Anyway, this is a good example for why creepypasta as a genre died out in the mid 2010s. Nosleep, for all its flaws, at least wasn't filled to the brim with angsty teenagers writing about their school troubles and parental issues through edgy and often violently graphic fantasies. Plus a weird obsession with Slenderman.

I'm still not sure if I like or hate the ending to LR Game. The weird baby monster that rapidly aged in the light is still one of the coolest creature ideas I've heard of though.
It's my least favorite kind of ending but it's at least the best ending of that type that I've come across. Whether it was by intention or by chance I appreciated that the author didn't have that omnipotent entity monolog about how whatever its goal was it was beyond human comprehension. It just didn't engage except when Alice asked something that mattered

I'd love to see the monster tackled by one of those indie studios that are trying to bring back practical effects, I don't know if any of them have had a hit though. LR Game seems like a really approachable movie for one of those studios since the environments are just various roads for 90% of it. The only really difficult thing would be the city at the end and maybe the lake (and affording the vehicles)

I disagree, creepy pastas were best when they were written by edgy tryhard teenagers instead of redditors trying to become published authors.

I guess it depends. On one hand, I'd rather never see another Sonic.exe story, but on the other hand, I could read Jeff the killer-type stories about angsty teenagers killing their bullies and getting adopted by slenderman or whatever all day.

Also I am reminded of William Safire's interview of Jerry Brown in the late 70s, when the latter mispronounced 'synecdoche' and Safire subtly pointed out the proper pronunciation by using it later in the interview. Instead of being defensive or ignoring it, Brown immediately noticed and said, “Is that how you pronounce it? I'd seen the word in print, but I never heard anybody pronounce it before.”
apologies for not related to the topic but this is my first time learning how that word is pronounced after i googled it. there's a book series i listen to audiobooks of with a lot of characters who's names are words and a character has that as her last name. the narrator always pronounced it like "cynic-doash" and i've never questioned it, i simply figured that someone professionally narrating an audiobook being sold for real money and distributed on audible would be minding their p's and q's for that kind of thing or made to do so by an editor.

So Wendi is uploading normal videos onto his livesteaming channel? Is there some YouTube best practices to doing this rather than uploading these onto his main channel?
Ain't the YT metagame to have as many plates spinning at once as possible for maximum $? That's why all the big channels that normies watch have like 30 spinoffs each, or so I assume.

I think the meta is to specialize channels with different content in order to garner specific audiences and create consistent viewing rates. So for example if Wendi starts doing Sunday school videos and uploads them onto his main channel and those videos do poorly it damages his channels standing with the algorithm, but if he uploads them into a new channel then both his main and alt will do fine. But what I am confused by is that these videos seem like the would fit in on his main channel, so why upload it to his 2nd channel.

Looking at the upload schedule, probably life support. Or maybe he's testing the water for converting it into a sports-themed channel considering the last video.

"I'm committed to making regularly-scheduled uploads of normie-friendly videos that aren't four hours long. Better put them on the channel where I put my personal updates and live gaming streams."

Yeah, I dunno; seems weird is all.
