There are several theories but most likely it was some sort of combination of Phil once again breaking his contract, looking like he was going to start costing them, and insulting them.
Revealing his CPM at about 1.05 which is generally considered a nono.
insulting machinima at 13.45 which is far from the first time since he's been passive aggressively sniping at them more and more over the years. Also directly threatening them at 17.15. Imagine yourself as a machinima exec watching that clip.
Oh yeah and he also threw machinima under the bus blaming them his unpopular ideas such as wanting to shorten videos which they might have not liked.
