Dude was mad that Apollo called him out for not paying his editor and made a video seething about his editor being shit and deserving to not get paid. He also seethed about Apollo's association with RWhiteGoose. Judging by the fact that this happened with another editor years later (him making them make a full video only to fire them and call them shit), DarkViper seems to not ask people for portfolios before promising them money (instead doing a trial run which is really dumb and wastes people's time).

I can't confirm if the dates on unlistedvideos.com are accurate but it appears that DarkViper uploaded all of these videos on the same day.

So, this dude hated Apollo for years and showed little remorse in his response to his suicide (calling him scum and sarcastically stating "that's the Apollo I knew) over this incredibly petty bullshit.

and yes, there are CRTs have screen tearing as long the screen's refresh rate does not match the frame rate of the game, for example, if the CRT is a fucking europoor CRT which are PAL 50hz standard, or fucking 85 hz which are common tv replacements for arcades since they are more common to come in 20' inch which are used for arcades. have they verified and tested it to remove any possibility that it wasn't just a tv issue?

how can you be sure of that, did they test it with different revisions of the arcade boards, with different crt tvs with different refresh rates? they might tested it with an arcade hardware, but are they sure they are using an original Nintendo Donkey Kong original arcade board?

unless they provided proof that they tested it with an original Nintendo hardware, provided the serial number, the arcade board revision number, the operational manual, that is still not proof they tested it with a real arcade hardware, they may even have tested it with a fake Donkey Kong arcade, which might render things differently. who knows. but yes, run away like a cuck

Billy is an asshole who cheated at video games posted about how he would "try not to smile or giggle" after learning of Apollo's death. That is a far cry from being responsible for Apollo's death, but it's still asshole behavior.

This is a pretty nasty thing to say about someone but people should keep in mind that those messages from Billy are from March 21, 2018.

The problem is I'm here to laugh at Jobst. I'm not here to dickride Billy by default like I'm cheering for one sports team versus another, where someone has to be 100% right or 100% wrong. That's the same level of stupid binary thinking that led Jobst on this lawsuit he was doomed to lose - Billy was bad for cheating, therefore say anything about him true or not and it's morally justifiable to Jobst, and then legally argue in court that Billy cannot be defamed for Jobst falsely saying that he was responsible for Apollo's death because Jobst believed that his reputation for cheating at arcade games was more damaging than someone being driven to suicide).

I can laugh at Jobst, believe Billy was morally and technically correct to sue Jobst over the suicide responsibility* allegations, think that Jobst is an immoral grifter who misled his fans to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars of crowdfunding, etc. while believing that Billy may be an asshole. Albeit, a lesser asshole who's largest offense is cheating at video games and not trying to ruin somebody else's life for clout chasing and accusing them in being complicit in the death of another person for fame and money.

I've used the phrase "retarded asshole" to repeatedly describe Jobst, but rather than an insult on him being stupid on how he handled the Billy/Apollo legend lawsuit, I'm starting to think it may not just be an insult but actual fact. Billy just kicked his ass in a lawsuit, why the fuck would you go on shittalking the guy? Especially in a social channel where you know messages are leaking nonstop.

I have no idea how busy Billy's hot sauce business is, but selling products at conventions is a very normal thing to do. You don't have a wholesaler/retail margin to give up, and if your fans want to support you, they can get something more tangible than just charging them money to sign a piece of paper or take a photo or whatever. Additionally, use of a third party doesn't mean that Billy is necessarily just slapping a label on generic hot sauce and selling it at an inflated price - you can make this shit in batches and get time on the line with your recipes and get a production run for you. Hot sauce made properly can be shelf stable for a really really long time.

Jobst has no proof that Billy's hot sauce business is tiny, that it's co-located, and he just got his shit kicked in to the tune of $1.8 million AUD for shittalking the guy about something he couldn't prove (responsibility for Apollo's suicide). A smarter person would just stop shittalking Billy at this point.

Also he's still on the "I thought the total views of the retraction argument would prevail" and that it was essentially unforeseeable that the judge would not take kindly to that argument "benefit of hindsight" blahblahblah. C'mon man. You made a really bad error in judgment, own it. Continuing the copium that you actually had a brilliant argument and it was unforseeable is braindead.

I'd say the odds of Karl getting sued again were basically none because he's going to be difficult enough to collect this existing judgment on, but if he's going to continue to provoke Billy and act pigheaded it's far from impossible.

I thought dropping the appeal meant that Karl learned to stop digging himself deeper with Billy... apparently not.
