Except India bought 36 Rafales for €7.87 billion in 2016 (down from the original plan to buy 126 for €12 billion) and just bought 26 marine versions for US$7.6 billion a couple of weeks ago.

That probably makes it the most expensive fighter jet in the world on paper.

It's an even worse deal than that, as the marine versions cannot fit on their carriers, as they used marine MiG-29Ks which are over a meter shorter. They'll have to refit one of their carriers which will cost even more billions and take it out of service for years.

Im not a pilot or an engineer but I took a class about aviation and did ground school out of curiosity and I learned the french pioneered alot of aviation technologies then americans were like actually we are better and now AMERICA IS NUMBER ONE BABY.

I'd still be shocked if It turns out modern french planes in a dogfight are dogshit. I'm not an expert but I know a thing or two about planes and like I want to be in denial that a white nation built on the backs of latins and celts fell off so fucking hard.

Hard to decide who to side with on this one.

On the one hand, both countries have been competing with each other for most rapes per capita and the only losers in that competition are the women and children.

On the other hand, Pakistanis are Muslim, so they have that added spice of honor killings, and they also deserve to suffer for what they did to Bangladesh in the 1970s. However, who knows what kind of toxins could result from bombing all those giant trash heaps in India. It really is a toss up.

The real question is which population we would rather have flooding the West as refugees. Indians provide good food and many Indian people are hard workers and top earners in the US. Whereas, again, Pakistanis are Muslim.
