had it in my cart, but it was sold out by the time i returned

I gotta admit I don't watch 99% of the channels I'm subscribed to. I see their videos in my sub, I just don't watch them. I should probably clean up but I watch occasional videos from them. Of course I use the sub tab which shows all my subs I don't generally let youtube recommend me videos.
I've gone through cleaning up my subs and I'll see channels I swear I've never heard of or watched before.
Part of the problem is that rebranding Youtube Channels is allowed so you can essentially hijack a YouTube channel via selling it. Selling can constitute it being a business that gets sued (technically allowed) or transferring ownership to somebody else (technically not without advanced permission). YouTube really doesn't have to give a shit either way unless it's a problem which unless it hurts them financially (people bitch) who cares.

Even then, people can choose to radically shift content in order to cater to whatever appeals to the algorithm at a given moment. That's particularly important because the algo will drive whatever has the most view minutes (watch video A -> B -> C -> D for 60 minutes, rather than video A for an uninterrupted 45 minutes).

If I find yourself watching, say, an autistic tech youtuber less (attacking myself here) because their content isn't as relevant because they talk less about tech in some particular interesting detail and more post nonstop ragebait about grrr technology company bad where they're just stretching every piece of content for the views and max ad revenue/outrage, Google won't manually remove you as a subscriber, but it can choose whether or not to push their content to you.

I will self confess to being a relative wuss with hot sauce, but I have had a conversation where some hot sauce people who eat shit a hundred times hotter than I eat will say "yeah anus blaster 9000 is good but I can see why you like this hot sauce it has actual flavor and I can taste X Y and Z". I take having guests and offering them a hot sauce that has a label they haven't seen and saying "this is pretty damn flavorful" as a compliment .

I went through this shit with West Coast style IPAs a decade ago and was a total faggot about how beer tasting like you were chewing on asprin meant you were a real man and if you don't like it you're fucking stupid and I loathe that phase about myself.

I've said earlier in the thread that yeah, I believe Billy cheated, but the bants are funny and if he's offering a hot sauce that isn't just a heat bomb it's more worth the money to consider trying a bottle.

PS. The part about malicious injury you mention relates to property, and is an AI fuck up. It quotes a S Virginia lawfirm as a source.
Fines and penalties are separate from compensatory damages to be paid to the other party, some of which are dischargeable in bankruptcy.

Also Google is absolute shit at searching Australian law and the free options are shit.

Also absolutely turbofuck law firms who put every area of law on every page of their site. Anyway after well over an hour on it I can't find anything directly relevant or useful, although my eyes are burned out from looking at at least 100 cases over whether a bankrupt can continue to pursue a defamation claim (they can). So I guess I know that now.

I'm still inclined to believe this isn't dischargeable (or as the term of art in Australia is "provable") in bankruptcy, because of the judge's findings of malice and award of aggravated damages. It's possible some of it is, or that the costs award is.

I think the reason people are enjoying Billy victory lap is because of how both parties acted through the lawsuit.

Despite his smug persona, Billy was reasonable, professional, and polite. He gave Jobst multiple chances to walk away scot-free if he would retract specific statements made on social media and videos. And he even explained the legal consequences of what would happen if Jobst didn't.

Meanwhile, Jobst acted like a vindictive child, treating the lawsuit like a game, and doubling down on statements. Then he lied about the lawsuit to grift money and started bragging about his "inevitable victory" and how he'd hound Billy forever like a psychopath.

Billy acted like an adult. Jobst acted like a psychotic manchild.

Feels like that's the difference between someone that has a real job and a life outside of the internet (Billy) and someone who spends all their time on the internet (Karl Jobber).
But yeah, Billy stocks are through the moon. Good to seem his sauce is actually legit.

This link from an Australian law firm gets a little more specific:
That link is engaged in the context of legal disabilities, not people with standard capacity (a legalism for "normal person and not a fucking cripple" btw kek). That shouldn't be helpful to that particular part of law because don't think it's applicable to Jobst's situation. He isn't legally disabled... yet. He might be after the mobsters, whom he will borrow from to pay off these costs, try to get their money back from him, otherwise he's shit out of luck without an appeal of some sort and some workaround mechanism per legal costs. There's also equity too, which could be applicable here with regards to the shitty ass lawyers of both parties boosting the costs to extraordinary heights... but knowing barristers it's probably par for the course given this is an Australian court. Australian courts are the worst in the world for legal costs. They request appalling rates for things in the court system here. Legal Aid is appallingly under-leveraged here. It means that big fish tend to just bully poorer parties out of the courts here. I'd argue it's worse here than in America. This court system needs to burn to the fucking ground, frankly. It's becoming a court system where the courts simply feed off both parties and escalate the matters to boost the cost requirements. You'd think public formal services would limit costs, but I've seen it with my own eyes how they over charge cases and coerce barristers/lawyers into overcharging their clients.

The amount of people exploiting shit like VROs here just to exploit the costs here in order to leverage themselves against innocents here is shocking. Legal Aid simply can't stop it from happening. They don't have the ability to do so a lot of the time. I've dealt with these cases. The system here just pretends that this doesn't happen. I've seen people kicked out of their own harms by bums this way. It's fucked. They don't even have to be wealthy parties that do this here. Sometimes they're just bums. The costs make them get away with this shit. The government doesn't mind, they get money from it.

I keep thinking "okay

Pretty much exactly my thoughts. I have no ill will towards Jobst- not many are creating content for classics like Goldeneye these days- but I always found his vendetta against Billy a tiresome distraction from the stuff I was interested in. As someone with no horse in the race Billy always came off as reasonable and professional, while Karl came off as speedrunner Ahab.

This, of course, only makes Billy's victory lap all the funnier- he waited til victory was locked in to start showboating, a lesson a speedrunner should have known. And damned if it didn't get me to buy some hot sauce.

What, were the Doom/Quake/GE/PD videos not getting enough views? If they're not getting that many, just fart out a bunch more of them and it'll put you in the algorithm more through sheer volume plus you will rack up money in your sleep off of all of them exponentially. In fact now's a better time to do it since the accusatory drama videos now cost him money rather than profit more.

Both parties are odd nutcases... which makes sense, they are speedrunners. So it is no shock that both parties tried to escalate this to absurdity and the legal system simply licked their lips and allowed it - seeing two dumb speedrunner autists to escalate costs with here. The barristers, lawyers and court admin involved should be punished for this, but watch as nothing is done about this predatory behavior, which escalates this shit, that legal admin here leads parties to - creating absurd results like this which just harm both parties really.

Billy has hasn't really won anything, the system has made him look like an asshole because of the ridiculous costs the legal system has been charging. This shouldn't even be a million dollar case, really. What an appalling waste of court time. What an appalling waste of tax payers money too, ironically, (because none of the costs pay for any of this shit, generally these cases are paid by the public in the end, don't let the costs fool you into thinking they're paying the costs of the case, it just pays for bullshit in the end and not the overall proceedings). Barristers, judges and lawyers are complete parasites in this country. I got sick of this industry fucking years ago here. To them, it's just fucking money and nothing to do with justice. If someone is sacrificed, in this case Jobst, then they are sacrificed. I think such a system is tyranny and should be revolted against. Gross parasitism.

Ironically, why creditors, mainly those in mortgages and securities, allow this shit is beyond me. It negatively impacts their own industry. It's arguably created our asset bubble crises here over the past several decades. Things like mortgage securities get re-audited in a skewed way just to get around shit like this. They wouldn't need to if the court system wasn't so grossly excessive here with it's costs. This also feeds our cost of living here and our property bubble. The Australian legal administration industry is worse than the financial system with regards to it's general administrative parasitism and it's impact to our economy than in most places, though I imagine America has similar issues given the GFC and it's own asset pooling issues.

My hot sauces finally came after the retarded usps delayed the delivery, made some very basic wings with little flavoring, tried all three sauces and they were great personally I would rate the standard hot sauce as the best and the jalapeno second.

Tomorrow plan on trying to bake some wings with them and see how it turns out that way.

I tried the Rickys, Jalapeno, and Habanero one. Gotta say, his greatest scam was getting people to buy these. Ricky's is okay but the rest of these are dollar store hotsauces at best.
This is such a weird thing to me. Content creators making "daily use" shit you'd keep buying, except it's overpriced and a novelty. Youtuber coffee is the worst one cause like, coffee is a fucking industry. Cat shit coffee is a thing. Why pay $1 a cup for some hog shit Jacksepticeye put his name on?

Cause this is as close as a lot of them will ever get to their eceleb of choice.

Marinas coffee tastes like plastic too. Straight up like someone shredded a credit card into the mix. Its an "instant nitro" and has some game/youtuber on it. My coworkers love the shit and I will never understand it.

As you said, there are better alternatives.

For all intents and purposes, gfuel and gamersupps "make sense". By design it's cheap and low quality, as every other energy drink is, but it's also easily dropshipped in large quantities. You buy 20x50 cups or whatever twice a year. Then every now and then they sell you softcore pornography on a dogshit shaker in a new color and people eat it up. If you think back to youtubers doing sponsorships with vape pens, no longer doing that, then looking back at it themselves and being "Oh gee that wasn't ethical haha, ANYWAY BUY MY ADDICTIVE ENERGY POWDER".

The gimmick of hentai shaker cups is somewhat fine. It's cheap to produce and you do it to support specific creators while also getting something in return. Straight up buying expensive daily-consumption things make no sense to me. Even shirt merch is fine; it's something you know is a worse product at higher price. But when they try to go "legit" by selling shit like coffee it's just.. why not make better merch? Elvis did the whole ayyline merch company, selling legitimate clothes while still staying in spirit of his brand.

I was about to link the Nerd City video on content creator merch but he himself rug pulled his fanbase and started doing NFT and crypto shit lol
