I gotta admit I don't watch 99% of the channels I'm subscribed to. I see their videos in my sub, I just don't watch them. I should probably clean up but I watch occasional videos from them. Of course I use the sub tab which shows all my subs I don't generally let youtube recommend me videos.
Part of the problem is that rebranding Youtube Channels is allowed so you can essentially hijack a YouTube channel via selling it. Selling can constitute it being a business that gets sued (technically allowed) or transferring ownership to somebody else (technically not without advanced permission). YouTube really doesn't have to give a shit either way unless it's a problem which unless it hurts them financially (people bitch) who cares.I've gone through cleaning up my subs and I'll see channels I swear I've never heard of or watched before.
as a hot sauce wuss....these are prretty good...it's not ungodly hot that it burns and has no flavor.
Fines and penalties are separate from compensatory damages to be paid to the other party, some of which are dischargeable in bankruptcy.PS. The part about malicious injury you mention relates to property, and is an AI fuck up. It quotes a S Virginia lawfirm as a source.
Karl does have an expert witness to support his claims though, Mr. AI. "The defense would like to call ChatGPT to the stand. Members of the jury, we all know AI doesn't lie."That video was a big invitation, he would have lost that easy without expert witnesses to support his claims.
Feels like that's the difference between someone that has a real job and a life outside of the internet (Billy) and someone who spends all their time on the internet (Karl Jobber).I think the reason people are enjoying Billy victory lap is because of how both parties acted through the lawsuit.
Despite his smug persona, Billy was reasonable, professional, and polite. He gave Jobst multiple chances to walk away scot-free if he would retract specific statements made on social media and videos. And he even explained the legal consequences of what would happen if Jobst didn't.
Meanwhile, Jobst acted like a vindictive child, treating the lawsuit like a game, and doubling down on statements. Then he lied about the lawsuit to grift money and started bragging about his "inevitable victory" and how he'd hound Billy forever like a psychopath.
Billy acted like an adult. Jobst acted like a psychotic manchild.
This link from an Australian law firm gets a little more specific:
Pretty much exactly my thoughts. I have no ill will towards Jobst- not many are creating content for classics like Goldeneye these days- but I always found his vendetta against Billy a tiresome distraction from the stuff I was interested in. As someone with no horse in the race Billy always came off as reasonable and professional, while Karl came off as speedrunner Ahab.I think the reason people are enjoying Billy victory lap is because of how both parties acted through the lawsuit.

I keep thinking "okay

This, of course, only makes Billy's victory lap all the funnier- he waited til victory was locked in to start showboating, a lesson a speedrunner should have known. And damned if it didn't get me to buy some hot sauce.
This is such a weird thing to me. Content creators making "daily use" shit you'd keep buying, except it's overpriced and a novelty. Youtuber coffee is the worst one cause like, coffee is a fucking industry. Cat shit coffee is a thing. Why pay $1 a cup for some hog shit Jacksepticeye put his name on?I tried the Rickys, Jalapeno, and Habanero one. Gotta say, his greatest scam was getting people to buy these. Ricky's is okay but the rest of these are dollar store hotsauces at best.
Cause this is as close as a lot of them will ever get to their eceleb of choice. Why pay $1 a cup for some hog shit Jacksepticeye put his name on?
For all intents and purposes, gfuel and gamersupps "make sense". By design it's cheap and low quality, as every other energy drink is, but it's also easily dropshipped in large quantities. You buy 20x50 cups or whatever twice a year. Then every now and then they sell you softcore pornography on a dogshit shaker in a new color and people eat it up. If you think back to youtubers doing sponsorships with vape pens, no longer doing that, then looking back at it themselves and being "Oh gee that wasn't ethical haha, ANYWAY BUY MY ADDICTIVE ENERGY POWDER".Cause this is as close as a lot of them will ever get to their eceleb of choice.
Marinas coffee tastes like plastic too. Straight up like someone shredded a credit card into the mix. Its an "instant nitro" and has some game/youtuber on it. My coworkers love the shit and I will never understand it.
As you said, there are better alternatives.
Well as the judge ruled: Jobst's lance is no match for Billy's dragonI'm pretty sure Billy has taken off the kid's gloves at this point.
He's using the Dragon Sauce.
