Missourians will know better, but it looks to me like Dave's lawyer is hoping that the judge will place Dave in what is known as a diversion program
Treatment court can be a diversion or used to monitor your probation. Dave is a first time offender so it would likely be a diversion if he qualifies. Generally the judge or prosecutor has to recommend you to be screened for treatment court. I suspect old judge was a hard ass and wouldn't do it but the new judge probably hasn't seen enough unhinged tranny violence yet.

Here's Dave's performance last night reencoded for size. I will keep the original, not that anyone will notice the drop in quality. I've skipped through and it's exactly what we thought. Dave whines and plays terrible songs. Do his parents still have the order of protection or has it expired?

I was going to try to listen to it this morning, but the intro this early made me want to shoot myself in head and the NFL released their schedule yesterday. I'm choosing to listen to local beat reporters yammer on about strength of schedule instead.

Dave has probably stated 100+ times on Reddit that going no contact is the only way to deal with narcissistic parents. But on the radio he told a different story. Introducing a song called Estrangement, he explained that he heard through a mutual acquaintance that Dr. Joe explained to this person that he and Dave are estranged. Dave took umbrage to this because the truth he is that he was disowned. He went on to say that Dave actually really wants to talk with his father so very badly. He wants to get lunch, even if Dr. Joe has to have his attorney present. But Dr. Joe won't let it happen.

That was the one bit I caught live earlier. He also heavily implied that his parents hate queers, which is evidently not at all true. I'll definitely give the whole thing a listen soon and will write it up if no one gets to it first.

Thank you so much for this. Just the music and singing alone is astonishing, let alone the terrible stories of abuse Danielle suffered (e.g. his mom buying cat food for his cat when he’d asked her to buy a can of tuna). The presenter barely gets a word in and he oversteps her boundaries (e.g. playing covers when he’s been asked not to and refusing to finish when she’s trying to close the show) multiple times. The song for his dead cat is genuinely one of the creepiest things I’ve ever heard.

Decided to skive off so here are my notes:
  • Dave explains right off the bat that he had an abusive childhood.
  • He says he is '100% sure his parents are listening' and that they'll 'spend thousands of dollars to have their attorneys go over it'. Then says his lawyer advised him not to go on the radio.
  • A nurse who worked closely with Dr. Joe reached out to Dave recently asking him about all his social media posts. He said that he's worked with Dr. Joe for years and years and can't believe that he's like that. Dave just says he's really good at hiding it.
  • Dave's parents want nothing more than for him to enjoy prison. He believes he'll be talking to authorities about this interview within a week as his dad will register some kind of complaint.
  • Mentions his audio recordings, specifically the old classic of Joe yelling about bagels instead of sliced bread.
  • This whole thing is a Mother's Day special, so he acknowledges he should be talking about Mary. Who, despite her not being violent, is actually worse than Dr. Joe. He decided to cut off contact with her before Dr. Joe. Mary is worse because Joe is Machiavellian and rationalizes his anger or persecution while Mary (and brother Andy) are simply sadistic.
  • He's worried about ending up in a concentration camp and reiterates that he had a heart attack in jail.
  • He is about to introduce his first song, but the song actually takes three minutes or more to start. Anyway, he explains that when he spent three days in the mental hospital in 2022, they wouldn't give him cannabis or opiates. He also missed his cat and his guitar, so he was having a hard time.
  • His phone screen has been cracked for three years. His mom did it and he keeps it that way as a reminder. Or because he's poor.
  • Mary would always interrupt his guitar tuning with humming. She gets a rush of dopamine from causing others to be upset.
  • Song intro finally starts around 30.30. The song is on a double bass. He was talking to his dad about Joe Rogan saying the n-word. Dr. Joe said it's okay to say 'nigger' when you're quoting someone. Even Rogan knows that's wrong, but Dr. Joe argued with Dave about it and said 'nigger' six times or more (see what I did there?).
  • Dave is a professional civil rights activist who has been paid thousands of dollars and visited 200+ cities and 8 countries.
  • Song is the classic My Daddy Is a Racist. He's not dedicating it to Dr. Joe, but it is about him. What an odd statement to make. Song starts at around 33.00 in the file above.
  • He has 4+ major flubs while playing the song.
  • Though he risks imprisonment by going on the air, he is doing this to help others.
  • Dave wanted to get a real can of tuna for his cat's 18th birthday, Mom agreed, but then, even though she's worth almost 9 million, she brought back a can of tuna-flavoured cat food and lied about it, even after Dave called her out. Why couldn't Dave pick up a tin of tuna himself? Who knows.
  • He tells the old story about how, after fleeing the Muscatos' clutches, he had to go through lawyers to get his cat back. This is an intro to his second song, which is about said cat and starts around 43.15. You can't make out hardly any of the words. Unless the people of Columbia listen to the radio with headphones, I'm sure they heard nothing.
  • Goes straight into the story about how his gf cheated on his cop brother (was he already a cop at that point?). Anyway, Andy raped her. I don't remember him ever sharing that detail. He doesn't overtly say she was raped, just that she has mental illnesses and he knows (somehow) that she was too intoxicated to consent. I don't know how he squares 'she was raped' with 'I was cheated on', but there you go.
  • Song is Chump (Or So I Tell Myself) and it starts around 48.45.
  • Song just muddies the waters further as to whether his brother is a predator or whether his ex is a cop-loving hateful whore. Both, I guess? At least you can hear the words on this one. Anyway, Dave says he really likes his song. Dave has a version that's 10 minutes longer on his TikTok, if you're interested.
  • Straight into the next song, dedicated to his therapist, Amanda. He wrote it for her birthday. Phonebooks her, but we already have that in the thread. Anyway, he just finished the 12-month group therapy course. So he's down to twice a week.
  • His therapy involves listening to his own audio recordings of Dr. Joe yelling at him.
  • Unprompted, around 56.15, he plays the infamous bagel audio to the live listeners.
  • Song dedicated to therapist begins around 1.00.30. It's called You Deserve Love and it's about his therapist and her husband, I guess. It's an instrumental, so nothing creepy, fortunately.
  • This might be the new song as I've never heard it and it isn't on his SoundCloud.
  • After the song, Dave is prompted to start talking about guitars. Instead, he goes off on a boring story.
  • This is followed by more boring stories of Dave's gear and tours and medical problems.
  • He mentions writing an article for Reverb.com three or so years ago about carrying a guitar everywhere for a month. Such an article does not exist (he does have an article on a different subject on that site from 2016).
  • Goes on to brag about how good his ear is. "I feel I speak the language of music now." Thanks to carrying a guitar with him everywhere and using some app.
  • This next song is actually the new one. Written the same day, apparently.
  • Oh shit, it's the same story I heard this morning about being estranged. Story starts around 1.15.30, song at 1.17.00.
  • After the song, he gives the audience a PSA about narcissism. 'I know it sounds fake, but it's real'. Urges people to get out.
  • Followed by a pretty solid rant. Covers the same bases as usual though, but he does call out all the young ladies he wants to help.
  • Next song is a cover (even though apparently he said no covers) called Crash Into You and it's dedicated to his first gf. It starts around 1.28.15.
  • This is easily the worst song (so far). He makes a couple of mistakes, is way to quiet (arguably a positive) and his high voice is horrible to hear.
  • Dave is asked about coming out to his parents. He says it was Father's day 2014 and he did it in the form of a 3k word email. Apparently told him about the Danielle whose name he stole. Anyway, he doesn't accuse him of being hateful, but says he later learned Joe was upset for being upstaged (I think we've heard all this before).
  • He goes on to completely ignore the question and just rambles about how he can't medically transition, talks about his tattoos, etc.
  • He does explain that one of his tattoos shows a (real) woman that he skinwalks as.
  • Eventually, he kind of circles back to the question and explains that, six months after coming out privately to his parents, he was contacted by a journalist who somehow learned he was IDing as a woman. Nevermind, just a boring story.
  • But then he alleges (around 1.44.15) that he had a gun pointed at him in the parking lot of a conference. Some prison guard said he wanted to kill Dave because he's trans. Never heard this story, but it might not be a new claim. In any case, Dave says he talked the Christian 'phobe down. Then they had a meal together and talked for two hours! How nice. Dave still called the police and the man was arrested and later sacked. This was just one of the many very real death threats he has received.
  • He says that people have been sharing bathrooms with trans people their whole lives without even realizing it. We've been talking about this for 70 years! Get over it, TERFs!
  • Final song is another cover (I thought they were all going to be original...). He also relates it to a gf. This one is dedicated to his cat. So in the end, just four original songs, not five.
  • While introducing the song, he gets lost in sperging about physics. Then about love and peace.
  • He says he is so happy that his family will never meet his cat. Finally gets to the (covered) song around 1.54.45.
  • It's bad, but not quite as hard to listen to as the last cover.
So in the end, he barely talked about Mary, though she was supposed to be the main theme. Can't help but think this a sign of his misogyny. It was pretty much all about Joe and Dave's guitars. He was rather inconsistent, both within this interview and across his many, many posts on the internet. Mary is actually worse than Joe, though she's also a victim and he rants about her far less. Whatever, it was a good listen.

I caught this part as I was skipping through the audio. Very creepy.

I commissioned this—uhh, this is a photograph by this guy, Sasha Karpeshkov, who's a Russian photographer, and he hired a model to take this photograph of this woman. Her name is Ana, the model. I don't know her last name, she's just some model in Russia.

But he took this photograph of this woman for me who is—uhh, she just looks really comfortable. She's got her tongue sticking out and she's got her hand folded up under her chin and she's got a full sleeve tattoo and she's really pretty. And, uhh, my tattoo artist translated this to a tattoo for me. I'll have to send you the actual photo.

In the actual photograph she's drinking a milkshake, and she just looks really feminine and comfortable in her body and herself and her appearance. And I really just, I love that photo. And so when I came out I decided to get a tattoo of it, because that's, like if I could magically transform and look like her, that would be how I would wish to present to the world, like this woman. Umm—but, I'll have to settle for a tattoo, so, umm...

Way to turn over the airways to a mentally disturbed individual. Now give him a weekly show. Instead of Tiny Desk Concerts it could be Tiny Manlet Concert.
This is classic cry bullying. Dave can't play songs outside their windows about how his parents are nazis or whatever, so he convinces the dumb broad who leads the shitty band he's in to let him do it on the radio. He already faced legal action for harassing his parents, is facing legal charges for crimes he committed against them, and is doing this against the advice of counsel, but his beautiful oppressed trans voice needs to be heard!

He also couldn't be bothered to stay within the agreed boundaries. People like Luna deserve people like Dave. I hope the station gets a letter from the Muscato's lawyers and she gets he ass chewed out for pulling this shit.
