This review isn't too bad. TDA is a very mixed game with major problems, Synth is obviously much better at criticising games with large problems or just bad games then good games which he makes major problems with in his reviews (just look at his doom eternal reviews where most of his problems comes from the fact that he isn't good at it and refuses to play the game properly).
That being said there is some problems in the review.
He complains that the game uses the same enemy's as others in the same franchise, like it isn't a doom game. It's as if he complained that dark souls 1 and 3 shares a lot of enemies, of course it does its apart of the same franchise but they feel different to fight as the enemies are designed differently and its has a different combat system just like TDA.
He also complains that you can kill the grunt enemies very easily when the game is basically designed to be dynasty warriors as a fps. And one of his criticisms was that the game had a larger focus on melee combat when it was specifically advertised like that.
His most odd criticism would be on the optional difficulty sliders. He argues that it's proof that the devs are lazy (even though they still have prebuilt difficulty options) and that it somehow appeals to casuals.
Personally I found the sliders a good change, it let me fine tune my experience playing the game, for example I found the parry timing too forgiving and the sliders let me reduce the window for parrying. The sliders can also act as a way to make future playthroughs more unique by messing with the game speed etc.
Him arguing that its just made for casuals is pretty retarded as casuals could just pick the easy difficulty instead of messing with the sliders.
He also praises the empty ""battlefield"" levels and says it is better then eternals arenas which is just
.I watched bits of his streams while he was playing it, and in it he had some dsp tier moments. One example would be him trying to purely focus on one enemy which resulted in the other enemies attacking him which he ignored and resulted in his death which he complained that it was cheap. Another would be him missing a parry and yelling parry slop over and over.
Oh and these rants are often followed by him saying "I played the souls games guys" like that makes him qualified to criticise other games difficulties.

He doesn't care about making the best video or making the most amount of money via riding the algorithm wave, he can always cope he is "shadowbanned" or that "youtube hates him" in that case. It is frustrating that he is doing so little with his channel or using it inefficiently, but again, consider who you're dealing with. There was talk of him investing his money, but really, do you ever see that happening? I can't, not when he can't even play/review games in a timely manner, when that is his "job".

Finding out that he removed his DSP chat icons when he pulled a DSP himself during his Fallout London stream is still one of the funniest part of his saga so far. I strongly advocate for "Son of DSP" being added to the thread subtitle, just because I think it will personally make him unreasonably upset.

His videos put him on the map. He clearly has some talent with them. Streaming made him a retard. It's the fall of many a youtuber. You just play a game on stream, talk to chat, and rake in superchats. No editing or any real labor required. It makes the Youtuber lazy however. Their real content slows down. Gets shittier. Synth fell into this trap hard and it's made him arrogant.

DSP also plays Souls games, in fact I am now re-watching some of his "TIHYDP" videos as I got nostalgic for posting that "Why am I toxic" clip yesterday. All I can say is, DSP is living proof that even a retard can beat these games eventually, so it's not exactly the flex Coby wants it to be. If anything, it only cements his reputation as Phil's lost son even more.

I forgot he says that a lot, it's definitely not a universal flex. The difficulty in souls games at least for the pve side are heavily knowledge based and not execution based. That is to say if you know the area/enemy moveset, a paraplegic can beat these games just fine, and they have. It's a charming aspect of the soulsborne genre, you can pickup the gameplay aspect almost instantly but still be challenged. However, that is fundamentally a different kind of difficulty compared to games that requires a bit more finesse from its players. In fact, he kinda admits this when commenting on the nu-doom games, saying something along the lines of having too much to juggle.

Fine, if you mean that it meets the baseline for an acceptable video. His reviews feel too much like all the other GG/anti-woke adjacent YouTubers before him, where he chases ghosts that aren’t there because he has to find the woke (i.e. Zelda), points out the obvious stuff that everyone can see (GoW, Spiderman), or nitpicks things that don’t really matter much and makes these things into big deals (kind of like his nemesis, Mauler). I don’t find it insightful or original — and, unfortunately, his “humor” is the hand-me-downs of better anti-woke/SJW/feminist shitlords before him. I can understand teens and young adults coming of age finding him interesting, but if you’ve been alive longer than two minutes, there’s not much to latch on to.

He's got a few genuinely good videos, but most of them really are just McDonalds of the chudosphere. Even in the videos I liked, I bet most of the material came from /v/ or hot twitter takes or whatever anyways, so it's not like they're anything original. Act Man also slipped by for a while presenting "his" totally original views on COD and Halo until he lost favor with a good portion of his audience.
