I had a feeling he was stuck on things in the past: he seems to have fully gone embittered critic who can't enjoy anything because his fans like him best when he's dunking on things and has depression so can't get much enjoyment anyway. He disliked Doom Eternal in his original review, then said it was one of the best games he's played in a while in the newest one. People's minds change, but it's weird to say that without saying you changed your mind.
A bad critique of a bad review of a bad game.
Doom Eternal is a weird game. Divisive. I know several people personally who've flip flopped their stance on it more than once. It's probably one of the few games I could understand playing once and having one opinion, playing a second time and having a different opinion, playing a third time (bonus points if it's the DLC) and coming back around to the first opinion.
I did like this one video and it was my first one from his channel, I'm a big fan of Postal 2 so I found this interesting enough to give it a watch. Considering that the new game came up very popular at the time and it got me thinking: Should I try this for a worthy playthrough or don't?
I don't think I like the idea that expressing dislike for Postal 4 could now potentially be considered a "Synthcel" take, even though I haven't liked Postal 4 since before Synth ever said anything about it.
It was three years ago, don't worry. Postal 4 eventually got bombed with negative reviews on it's own regardless if the Synth video exists or not, because of the problems that i've mentioned and that it used UE4 as the engine (it was also released in Early-In-Access thus fueling the hate so far.)

I'm familiar with Starfield, KCD2 and Dead Rising(demastered) so I can say those reviews were thought out, well researched and at times, funny too. Some of his other videos, like his AssCreed ones, were boring and generic. I think he does well on slam-dunk videos where it's not hard to shit on the game since everybody already hates it and there is plenty of analysis on it on /v/ and other places on them. If he has to explain why a game is "shit" or "woke" by himself(example, Asscreed since nobody cares about these games enough to write in-depth posts anymore as much) he falls flat. At the end of the day, he validates your view by reading you a 4chan greentext and selling it as his own, I mean those greentexts can be spot-on at times don't get me wrong, but I would prefer an original analysis.
He used to do retro reviews on Doomer Hour to show he's playing older games too, but I dunno if he still does that. I doubt he would offer anything good other than whatever he played as a teenager or a kid anyways.
Even that would be better than just mindlessly dooming with nothing but "this game is shit and woke" as if we didn't know already.
