as a member of gen x I have some thoughts on why we are politically absent:

1) we're not. state politics are dominated by gen x. look up who governors are. as has been pointed out the most likely possibility for a gen x president is newsom but there are others. tulsi is a xillennial.

2) gen x has a very high level of combined emotional and financial dysfunction due to being raised by feckless divorcing boomer parents and starting adulthood during the 90s recession. I'm interested to see how this plays out in a society that increasingly supports people in a very healthy old age. I think a lot of people in my generation are going to have a second act, especially people who spent their 20s and 30s in active addiction and their 40s getting their shit back together. a lot of my generation were checked the fuck out and are checking back in.

I'm not so sure this is muslim-driven, though they do benefit. I've said it before, and I'll doubtlessly say it again, but I'm firmly convinced +50% of anti-jew sperging on the interbutts is done by the jews themselves in order to discredit and make seem ridiculous their opposition.
Did you miss the /pol/ leaks where a huge amount of traffic is from Israel?

Millenials are either coastal theater kids or blackshirt chuds but at least they're not mopey losers.
You're mixing up Gen X and Millennials, aka Gen Y. Gen X was the generation prior.

I don't understand why it's not easily recyclable anymore. Can you elaborate? I'm not arguing, I don't know anything about it really but caught that video above a few years ago and it seemed relatively straight forward.
Ran heavy equipment many moons ago. I have some experience with recycling.

It's not that it's not "Easily recyclable". It is. It's just that it's cost prohibitive.

99% of recycling in the West is done by private companies. Very few governments have their own actual facilities, staffed with government employees and machinery. So most material handling is contracted out to corporations that do. Think the big ones; Waste Management, BFI, Waste Connections, GFL, and a few others.

It's just that glass is worth essentially nothing.

In it's base form, glass is just sand. Breaking it down, gathering it, shipping it and then crafting it into a new product all costs money. And that cost is more than manufacturers and suppliers could pay to simply use new glass. So most recycling companies will just throw it in landfills.

Even so called "green" governments will admit they outsource most basic recycling to the private sector, who then still have to make a profit to survive. So they only recycle material that actually makes them money. Everything else gets thrown into the trash.

I could go on, but that's the jist of it.

I won't go so far as autistically quoting Lord Of the Rings about Ents waking up, but it kind of feels that way to an extent. Those of us who survived the Opiate wave or were otherwise able to pull back on the stick with our vices and get our heads on straight are finding out there's not much left standing in our way, so long as we're not fucked by taking care of our parents now AND our children at the same time.

The George W. Bush-Adolf Hitler comparisons are funny to look back at in retrospect.

Democrat supporters have been saying Republican candidates or presidents are Hitler for a long time now.

With the way things are going I'm looking forward to Barron Trump being a Democratic darling in the 2040s-2060s

I'd imagine every modern president since Nixon has been called a fascist just by the nature of socialists being the faggots they are.

It wouldn't surprise me, they have no principles. Hell, they were praising even Dick Cheney for not supporting Trump, much less W. And they literally worshipped Liz Cheney and somehow thought SHE'D help their cause when everyone left and right hates her.

If Barron says his dad wasn't that great he'd be a hero to them, I highly doubt that'll happen though.

It's a fragile and heavy material and the cost of transportation makes it unlikely to be included in curbside recycling programs. There aren't recycling plants for glass in my area (though plastic has also been getting faded out because of high costs vs what is actually gained). I have to drive up to the DFW area and drop off any donable glass to any of the 3 plants there (and all three have a list of acceptable donations and a list of things they WILL NOT take --which basically boils down to only taking glass bottles).

Glass recycling got phased out for the most part when manufacturing made the switch to majority plastics. It's similar batteries, most recycling plants made the switch to lithium recycling and now you really can't recycle alkaline or zinc-carbon batteries outside of some general electrical recycling plants (and not all places take them).

Rubio is seriously becoming Trump's Sanji, and I'm impressed. Tim Kaine wanting rapefugees but no whiteys and Rubio calls him on it, even does a GenX shut up boomer moment about how he was in 9th grade when apartheid ended so who cares:

What I love the most about his moments like this is that it’s clearly just trolling and they always go batshit. Soyboy here sounded so pissed off.
Here’s a tip Notus, normal people aren’t so insecure when someone discounts their profession

They straight-up fabricated National Guard memos and ran a 60 minute special on them to try to flip the election to Kerry. This was after four straight years of calling him Hitler and Code Pink bleeding out the wherever all over the Capitol.

Never heard of this, but sounds like a direct equivalent to the Steel Dossier.

Google "Rathergate."

TL; DR - they made fake National Guard memos about Bush's time there, but since journoscum are fucking stupid, they typed them up in MS Word and ran them through a copier a few times to make them look old. Some blogger immediately spotted the fake and showed that the kerning matched MS Word's defaults exactly and could not possibly have been produced by a typewriter. Dan Rather and the rest of the MSM stood by the story until it was beyond parody; CBS finally cut him lose to try and save face.

I've never forgotten since then that the press will go as far as fabricating evidence to try and tilt politics to the Democrats.

It will forever amuse me that her and her family are so fucking hated by everyone that her endorsement quantifiably hurt Kamala's campaign.

it is "easily" recyclable in a technical sense (just melt it down)
but it doesn't make economic sense to do so. the raw material used to make glass (quartz sand) is really cheap and widely available, it is much easier for a glass factory to just buy tons of sand from a mining company rather than go through the logistical nightmare of collecting a million shittyused glass bottles from all around the city.
there's simply no point to recycling something that is available in abundance and dirt cheap to produce.
