As time goes on I really think that Nicks parents are a big part of the problem. From what we know of them I think Nick is extremely like his mother temperament and proclivities wise and his dad just exists to smooth things over and "make it work" so to speak. I think she's probably also an alcoholic but mostly keeps it together - it fits with Nicks mostly unchecked descent into alcoholism. A lot of times if there's a person in a family who has a drinking problem but kind of has a lid on it then it gives cover to somebody like Nick who's totally burning their life down because it makes the entire situation too socially complicated to address.
It could be lodged in his ass. We've seen that before.
The more time passes with him facing no real consequences for his actions the more loose-lipped he's going to become. All the brain damage from huffing nitrous probably also speeding that process along.
I love how he doesn't think "I had a great life", I think he realized how much he hated it despite being the dream of many people. It's so similar to your typical "married man troons out" stories with all the dick sucking included.
Nick's parents were never parents, I think that is basically the entire problem. He never had to grow up and got to stay a spoiled little toddler his whole life, never facing repercussions that mommy and daddy couldn't buy away or smooth over until now. The dad's letter to the court basically confirmed that he would cover for his son regardless of his behavior.
So that's why A A Ron brought April around. Another win for the Toe.

If it's like any other field then it's not a big deal, I just think he really, REALLY doesn't want to. We're closer to him streaming videogames or talking about politics than him ever going back to anything resembling law.
He’s just slowly returning to the normal largely unwatched streamer where he does what he wants (which is sing karaoke poorly and tell unfunny sexual jokes) instead of being a big lawstreamer bringing on an interesting panel of guests who talk while he just drinks and chimes in occasionally. Good thing he still has a youtube or else he’ll be driftless on other platforms fully completing his Ralph cycle.
If he even has the ability. He's clearly a mess, his brain is a mess (even after a year of 'sobriety'), his attention span is shot and, most importantly, this dopamine chasing addict would do anything else than study.
