he must be so fucking jealous of Joji, Ethan, Max and Chad. they all surpassed him and still know how to be funny/entertaining, while he lost his entire personality.
This is why I think he solo'd out Ethan. Him and Ethan had the most similar paths in disavowing their old content and finding a new audience. Max, Chad, even Joji to some extent all made peace with their old audiences and moved onto things that are evolutions of their old content.

Ian sees what Ethan built and feels jealousy and anger that Ethan is highly-successful yet Ian is fading into obscurity. To me, Ian was living in Ethan's shadow for too long and grew resentful because of it. Which is why the H3 Content Cop is so full of him saying things like he's better than Ethan and "no look see Ethan is actually a nasty incel!". He's projecting super hard on to Ethan with what I assume he thinks about himself. As a way to prove to his self-doubts that he actually is a new and good person.

I think Joji told Ethan not to bring up Filthy Frank anymore (he brought it up in a podcast where he was congratulating him on his success in music) because Joji knows that if he couldn't make a "clean break" from the filthy frank stuff he wouldn't be able to succeed in music (which is what he always was into-I belive he studied music at NYU). Joji is completely in the right for doing this and I think Ethan knows why he does it, but seeing as they are friends/friendly/good terms he doesn't bring it up because he was asked not to. I will also point out that Joji has never deleted any filthy frank videos (or if he did it was to ensure the whole channel wouldn't be deleted because youtube sucks). And supports the whole "pink guy" character when people at his concerts wear the pink suit (and I think he did the "hello boss" thing on stage once-tbh I haven't been following him much). But you're correct. Where Joji and the other members of the cancer crew were able to "cleanly break" from their old acts, Ethan morphed his audience (slowly) into what it is now (aka no clean break). That must drive Ian up the wall.

I was a leftist before the internet, just here because I REALLY love lolcows and you guys remind me of the internet of old. I'm not here to influence
So I asked a friend of mine who's a psychiatrist about Ian, and this is what he told me (and stressed this is not medical advice but just given off the cuff when I got beers with him).
Spoiler this shit faggots

When you attack those who are big and strong like Ethan while being small and weak like Ian, you are going to have to work extra hard to do anything to your opponent. Ian charged in with lies, half-truths, missing context, bad faith criticisms and condescending compassion, all of which combined to a half-assed hit piece that backfired spectacularly and kickstarted a domino effect that threatens to take down all of the Hasan-sphere that Ian just attached himself into while empowering Ethan.

If this was a movie, we would call the writer a hack for such an unrealistic script that made it hard to suspend our disbelief. "With one move, Ian and his side lost everything and Ethan won the internet with even enemies siding with him." Who writes this crap?

Ian did not do a "clean break". Ian nuked his fanbase and good will from orbit and dropped a dirty bomb on every anniversary. His loyal fans have all left and now only those who want a NSFW Discord, and do not care about him, remain. He has no one to come to his defense.

i think this is the closest hes come to referencing anything Filthy Frank related. nothing crazy, but if he were Ian, he'd have stopped the show and asked those people to be removed.

like you said, its understandable that he wanted to move on from FF in pursuit of music, especially knowing how the "masses" could react to it. inevitably, people found out and attempted to cancel him over it, and like a true chad, he STILL didnt apologize for his past/shit on his fans. in fact, he didnt even address it at all, and it eventually went away. Joji is a chart topping musician, so i can only imagine the amount of pressure he felt from all of these people trying to ruin his career. Ian's just a little bitch who wanted to ditch his old audience for a new, more culturally accepted one, and thankfully it backfired.

I've seen h3 go into the mid 30's on juicy-drama filled days; one notable podcast a few weeks ago had 37 k viewers live. Given time, I think it's possible Ethan can reach his old, pre-Hasan fallout levels (50 k? I don't remember; was more of a Frenemies era fan...)

On the topic of Frenemies, I think a lot of people forget Ethan is already used to losing a large chunk of his fanbase/building up a new one. A sizeable chunk of H3's fans sided with Trisha (...I count myself in that messy category. But I digress). Ethan will weather whatever Hasan & his dumb tankie toadies throw at him - Ethan is made of tougher stuff. He once took on a BPD woman in the middle of a psychotic break and her parasocial fandom defending her 'cause she did absolutely nothing wrong *snaps finger* - tldr, H3 will endure. If Ian and Anisa's goal was to destroy/deplatform Ethan, than they will never win/will just make even bigger fools of themselves.

That's one of the clips I was thinking about

Well when it "was brought back up" (like it was ever gone). it was those brain dead kpop twitter people who tried to "cancel him" and I think the response was something like "we already knew this stfu" and because he ignored it nothing ever happened.
Joji is a chart topping musician, so i can only imagine the amount of pressure he felt from all of these people trying to ruin his career. Ian's just a little bitch who wanted to ditch his old audience for a new, more culturally accepted one, and thankfully it backfired.
He also sold them out in the bitchiest way possible. I know joji wrote a twitter (or was it facebook) message saying he medically couldn't do it, Ian just had to do the same fucking thing. He should have just gone on Twitter or Facebook or (even if he felt he had to make a video) and said, "hey look, so I want to take a completely different route, a clean break. I hope you all understand, I no longer find the old content funny/good/ what I want to represent me, and as such, I am deleting the old stuff/putting it all on a backup channel/privating. I know you (the audience) might disagree with it, but I want to start fresh. I'm sorry for the slur video and I'm sorry for what I did in that video; it was insensitive, cruel, doesn't align with my current values, and immature, and I don't like being associated with my older content, as it doesn't represent who I am/who I am now/ who I am IRL (and it is effecting how people view me on a personal level) /my current values/what matters to me. Please look forward to my new content, which I will be doing XYZ." Thank you all for being such great fans and the fun that was had. I will be back soon.

Would that have gotten some push back? Sure, but he got the message out without fucking over his fans. Hell, he could have even put a line in about how he doesn't like how some of his fans have been taking what were (insensitive jokes) seriously, and/or using them to attack people. Fuck he could have been like: "I know my nigger slur video was very successful so to make up for it, I will be donating [insert amount of money it made or some some of money here] to the NAACP or some other black charity.

Boom I a random kiwi just wrote a "clean break script" while not fucking over my fans and showing that I am #liberal.

And it took me 3 fucking minutes.

But no he took the bitch route.

I don't think Ian has had sex in years at this point. Anisa probably convinced Ian to start taking the SSRIs to avoid having sex with him.
There is a reason why Ian fixated on "incel" as an insult. It's him projecting his own insecurities about him and Anisa not having sex onto other people. That and Ian being an actual dyed in wool incel before he met Anisa and having shame about that.

The audacity to post this shit as the stay-at-home wife of youtuber…

100% the “happiest people shes met” were fucking laughing hispanic men working in food service or some other jolly proletariat minority she’s romanticized into a Buddha figure.
Years ago when working at a very small company I met a guy like that. The janitor would often come in to clean the office when I was working late and we talked a bit since no one else was there. He was a very ordinary looking dude who was a legal Mexican immigrant with a thick accent. Very friendly, happy dude.

I don't think his happiness was related to any kind of enlightenment, though. Occasionally his wife came in with him to help him clean. She was a smoking hot Korean girl about 20 years younger than him. He said he met her at church. 🤷‍♂️

Pride. Now Ian is the perfect amalgamation of all 7 deadly sins.

If Ian wanted to retire the old iDubbbz so bad while maintaining internet fame he could’ve just been a part of the H3 crew and get mentored by whoever Hila hired to manage Teddy Fresh.

I guarantee you if he swallowed some pride back in 2018, Ethan would’ve given him that job and he’d easily be much more famous and successful now. Hell he’d probably meet a nice accountant/corporate type at Hila’s company.

Fuck. Imagine being a millionaire and having to settle for a malignant tatted up failed porn actress while a Mexican Janitor scores a hot supportive tradwife.

i am now convinec this all has been planned, ethan has used his jewish contatcs to groom ian johma into marrying the man eater so in the future he could have a perfect vessel for his jewish humilation rituals
Close but more likely has to do with this program of bad faith actors getting boosted to run good causes into the ground, your average fence sitter sees Idubbz and his friends in that 'wake up' Ethan vid and immediately wants nothing to do with them or Palestine... Alot of people here have done it already, people are back to backslapping H3 and forget the myriad of typical heebish shit he does.
The best way to get people of the fence and onside with a cause is to force them to do it subliminally, most people are contrarians so its easy to force them into it. Just make it look like one side is a bunch of dysgenic freakshows and by default you wont want anything to with them ideologically. It works well in western politics.

There was never a reason to make a clean break in this way; Joji ended his personal and made a new one, making completely different art in a different style, while iCuckz wanted to keep using his namesake and his 7M subscriber channel.

He didn't have to do any of this shit - he was a YT legend at that point, he could do anything he wanted as long as it was funny, and he kept making more of em. For example (if he kept on making the documentaries, and made them funnier) he wouldn't be in this mess.

Want to address it? Say that fanmail got too chaotic and he couldn't handle it- especially seeing the sheer volume of mail, CC demanded a lot of energy and felt more and more like hitpieces (ironic since he actually made one) etc.

There was a single big choice that broke Ian's life - Anisa. Without her, there's no OF drama to tarnish his image, he wouldn't go to crazy lengths to smear Sam, destroying himself in the process, there would be no CC to drain his finances, and he would have never made the H3 video.

Unironically Anisa ruined him

Idk if anyone’s mentioned it yet but I think another reason for his ‘heel turn’ on Ethan could be that he understood that the majority of CC ticket sales came from his camp and assumed that by jumping ship to someone with a larger audience (not to say Hasan personally has more of an audience than Ethan but that whole sphere in totality) that it would translate to better sales for CC3 than CC2. Kinda like thinking okay we’ve tried CC with Ethan now let’s try it with the Hasanosphere. If that’s what was going on it’s a bit of brutal calculus that he didn’t really do his math right on.
In a similar vein to this, I think Ian thought the vast majority of the general public hated Ethan. He said in an interview even though all the comments are shitting on him, he has the silent majority. It's been shown that he regularly browses the snark subreddit so he probably drastically overestimated the number of people that would agree with him.

Ethan is in a position of power. Imagine striking someone in the face, almost breaking your hand (you did fracture your hand bones), and the other guy looked slightly shocked but ready to retaliate with a lot more power than you. That is what happened here. Ian struck and now he gets dropped. Ethan has been better prepared for fights due to him being a high profile influencer with a lot of controversies and his debate skills are sharp as ever due to his tendency to debate many people and do his research.

Ian, on the other hand, entered this fight unprepared. He had propaganda fed to him by Hasan, his talking points could be disproven with a Google search, his collaborators are sketchier than a concept art book, his jokes are unfunny and he operates on more bad faith than a cannibal cult. At first he ignored the CPS call, then he downplayed it, he mischaracterized Ethan's rage, lied about his positions on Israel v Palestine and tried to make him sound like a monster that attacks random people. That misguided attack would never work on anyone as durable as Ethan and Ian is not strong enough to deal with the aftermath.

Ian cannot win against anyone, much less Ethan.

Instagram video he did (more archiving)
my apologies I will not upload archives on here anymore unless they directly involve idubbbz just felt this was interesting and relevant to the discussion of Ethan Klein.

My apologies - going further I will put the archives in Ethan’s thread

Heavy emphasis on he didn't have to do shit. He was one of those youtubers who can shit a single video a year and still get millions of views and unanimous support from everyone just from brand name recognition. He could've taken a producer role for Cold Ones or the H3 podcast, just injecting cash into the brand while his friends do all the work in front of the camera. He could've retired before 30 and lived a super cozy life just for saying nigger and shitting on less fortunate souls on the internet. He was that famous and well liked. But for some reason, for Anus and Poop Boy that just wasn't enough. Now that the poverty arc seems more likely and closer than ever, Ian's downfall has to be the biggest fall from grace in all of youtube history right? I can't think of any other youtuber that got as rich and famous as Ian did just to become truly and completely felted in such a short amount of time. No friends, no fans, no relevancy and soon no money, just a hellish bpd wife that doesn't love him.
