I never listened to them, but it does remind me of another way that trans ruins everything.
In the 1986 film Flight of the Navigator, a 12 year old boy is taken by an extraterrestrial in 1978 and returned (not having aged at all) in 1986. He experiences a few culture shocks from missing eight years on earth, including not having seen MTV. An assistant tells him she went to a Twisted Sister concert the previous night (which is why she had some purple in her hair).
"I've never heard of her"
"It's a him. Actually, it's a them".
In 1986, this exchange was amusing. The boy presumes a musical act called Twisted Sister is a female, and he's corrected on the pronouns. And 'them' means 'a band', not non-binary.
Now I can never watch the scene again without the abyss of gender madness staring back at me.
