For context, this is in response to one of Lindsay Ellis' videos about Disney.
"Our identity and culture is in the work that we make"
Nope. Artists can divorce themselves from society's influence and make products that exist in a vacuum. There is literally a term for it called "outsider art". This Marxist freak cannot understand such a thing because their own views are shaped by social media brainwashing.

The left is physically incapable of not viewing everything through a political lens, and that's led to them becoming so unbelievably desperate to ensure everything they work on lines up with their own views.
I gotta be the devil's advocate in the thread, that message is absolutely in the original Lilo and Stitch. That scene on the night before Lilo's taken away, Nani holds her and sings Aloha ʻOe ("Farewell To You"), which is the song the last queen of Hawaii sang before America captured Hawaii. There's that mostly finished deleted scene too where the white tourists are all being obnoxious to Lilo, who pranks them with the tornado siren, and Lilo tells Cobra Bubbles that "if you lived here, you'd understand." You could even make something out of Lilo being bullied and belittled by the white girl in her hula class if you really wanted to reach. It's not like the entire movie's premise is "America BAD, Hawaii GOOD," but the colonization of Hawaii was absolutely a theme intentionally included in the movie.
...but it's not the only theme in the movie, or the most important theme either. The big themes are the importance of family, being your weird self despite what people think, and knowing that you can change for the better. Then idk there are funny crossdressing aliens with Russian accents who listen to Elvis. Ta-da!!
The issue with the way leftoids talk about Lilo and Stitch (or ANY movie) is they haven't actually watched the damn movie since they were kids! They saw it once or twice, grew up and read the same popular Tumblr posts and watched the same popular video essays, and now that all they care about are their liberal politics and practicing their ethics via media consumption, that's what they're focusing on. They don't care about the actual movie, they only care that the movie they remember positively can be justified. It has to have some kind of value or they're essentially forced to drop it, if it didn't Support The Cause they "wouldn't be allowed" to like it anymore (think like Ace Ventura or Harry Potter or whatever, other media they won't let themselves/others like because of the problematic elements.)

It seems another industry artist has restored to E-begging on GoFundMe.

Not really. It's fair to say that it was going to be a theme in the movie but they very wisely cut it out because how they were going about it made Lilo look like a racist bully and got in the way of the extremely compelling family drama.

As it came out Lilo and Stitch says nothing about colonization, modern or historical. It just positively portrays contemporary Hawaii that includes beautiful nature, tourism, racial diversity and historical references.

A little powerlevel: I visited a couple of these LGBT found family houses for job-related reasons.

Had a surprisingly warm welcome visiting them compared to most houses, but without fail, all of their homes were VERY disorganized and over budgeted things.

You could clearly see that the people who lived there had an unhealthy spending habit in buying useless junk or/and used hard drugs, and I bet you 5 bucks that the same applies for this person's household.

I don't believe the "My Parents Didn't Understand Me!" excuse anymore, and this is why.

I'm sure that these people didn't have the most supportive parents. But lots of people have out of touch or unsupportive parents who manage to not turn into complete breakdowns when they become an adult. Meanwhile, lots of people have the most supportive parents you could want, but they still turn into complete wrecks.

They all look like the same shit that’s already on air so we didn’t miss out on much. I wish we could go back to actual interesting shows.
